Though Nella Miller and I have never met in person, we have known each other from our early blogging days. I featured her beautiful garden years ago on my blog. I love her simple natural Christmas decor this year, and how it compliments her beautiful garden right out the window.
This wreath made of ferns, moss, and ivy has a beautiful ethereal quality that is just lovely. Note how the beautiful ribbon and rustic bells complement the elements of the wreath itself. Nella used to do wedding flowers. I am not sure if she still does?
I had to include one shot from her garden. This vignette is perfection. Nella, please share the source for those fabulous faux bois pots. Nella is from the Jordan Valley in Canada so the source may be Canadian.
SKIMS ROBE
My son and daughter-in-law bought me this robe for my birthday and it is the nicest robe I have ever owned. It is similar to the Barefoot Dreams but the fit is a little less loose. It is actually pretty enough to wear out! Spoiler alert I am not sure but I believe this may be a Kim Kardashian line? I am not a big fan of that crew but this robe is amazing.

If you love a great mystery you will love The Life of David Gale.
I know Kevin Spacey is a scumbag, but, there is no denying he is/was an amazing actor. Don’t you wonder if many that are geniuses in regard to their craft, might also be disturbed? Just curious about your thoughts on this? Laura Linney and Kate Winslet are wonderful in their roles as well.
FOOD 52’S TOP 10 GENIUS RECIPES OF THE YEAR
I Love Food 52. I know many of you probably have their genius recipe cookbooks. Here are (I believe) Food 52 reader’s favorite recipes of the year. There are some good ones. I want to try this kiwi and feta salad and several others.
OUTFIT OF THE WEEK
As I have mentioned before I am not a big fan of Holiday Specific Attire that one can only wear once a year. I spotted this velvet (they call it a shirt, but I would wear it as a jacket) shirt from Free People. It also comes in bronze. I think it would be wonderful with a starched white shirt with a vintage brooch at the neck with jeans. What do you think? I chose a vintage brooch and a vintage clutch which I linked below the graphic. You can find many other vintage rhinestone brooches on ebay here

I love the Free People piece. They are currently out of my size but I’ll keep it on the list just in case. The rustic table with the deer centerpiece is stunning. That’s my favorite kind of detailing…rustic and natural.

Of course upon opening the blog post they are different stories but hey, you might have a few readers sporting the robe on New Years Eve!! As for Kevin Spacey, isn’t it hard when someone whose work you admire turns out to be less than admirable personally? I’m always conflicted about whether to continue to support them professionally or not. But no conflict about whether Kevin Space is an amazing actor! Thanks for another interesting post. I agree with you 100% concerning Kevin Spacey and the Kardashians . However, that is a beautiful robe and yes, Kevin Spacey is a remarkable actor so I will watch The Life of David Gale while resting after fun Christmas day. Really like your “Outfit of the Week” and agree it can be worn throughout the winter.

I love the vintage evening clutch and was so excited when a few years ago my mother gifted me several. However, I sadly discovered that my cellphone doesn’t fit in most of them and for silly me, something seems just wrong about carrying a purse and asking my husband to put my cell in his pocket. I still love the bags I was gifted, however if you are on the hunt for one… you may want to compare your cell to the size of the purse as well as the clasp opening.

Excellent point! I have a collection of vintage purses and most of them are too small for a cell phone, especially the Victorian era ones! Always check the measurements. We like to at least be able to squeeze in a lipstick as well!
