Favorite florals, eggs, J Crew and More

Hi Everyone Happy Easter. We had a busy week.  We had Little Summer for five days and  we just got home from two full days of packing up our lake house for that sale. Today will be unpacking and getting organized.  It looks like it will be a beautiful day.  Let’s join Annie and Mary Ann for some Sunday fun.  Today I have favorite florals, eggs, J Crew and More.

OUTFIT OF THE WEEK

I love the collaboration that J Crew does with Liberty of London.  When I spotted this shirt (I am not normally a blue person but this shade get’s me every time).  I actually own this shirt in a similar gold print from years past

J CREW LIBERTY OF LONDON SHIRT

I got a lot of static for not posting an outfit of the week last week.  I have these J Crew jeans on order, love these dry creek turquoise earrings from Etsy, The straw tote and tassel, and bracelet all super reasonable, are also on repeat from Etsy. The star is the Liberty of London shirt.  I think it would be great tied at the waist with this skirt from Off Fifth. Love these espadrilles from Hanebi.  A Target straw hat, Ipizi readers and Essie polish in Saltwater Taffy finish off the outfit!  All items linked below.

WHAT TO DO WITH ALL THOSE LEFTOVER HARD BOILED EGGS FROM THE EASTER EGG HUNT

I am not a big egg fan (I wish I were).  I tolerate them when they are disguised with a lot of cheese.  Funny story the first time I was invited to lunch at Elizabeths home (aka the Contessa) she served egg salad.  Here is the deal I don’t like eggs and I really don’t like plain ole mayonaise. i thought this is going to be interesting, how am I going to pull this one off without gagging.  To my surprise (she had chickens at the time) it was absolutely delicious.  I came across this recipe from Food 52 and it sounds delicious as well.  Instead of the full fat mayo I would substiture 1/8 greek nonfat yogurt and 1/8 c low fat mayo.  Doesn’t this recipe sound yummy?

    🤍Lynne here.
Thank you for your inquiry about my collage art.
The collages are an expression to inspire and lift my family and friendships. I have never sold a collage, but I have given permission for those who wish to print them for personal use. If you have the means to print or make a card you are so very welcome to do so!

    Have a best blessed week!

Happy Easster Cindy! Thank you for the lovely post gorgeous colors, I ordered the skirt so excited to get it! I grew up on Liberty fabrics and going into the store on Regent Street for a visual treat when ever I was in the neighborhood coming from work. The most amazing building:) Somehow now with my grey hair Liberty ages me so I love if from afar but the prints are just fantastic.
    Happy moving:)

Sorry to reply so late. I agree with you about most of the prints. I don’t wear much pattern period anymore at all. That shirt sure is pretty though isn’t it? We might be able to pull that one off!

    I didn’t know you didn’t like eggs!!!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Annie

I will eat eggs on ocassion but for some reason I am just not a huge fan unless they are really doctored up!!

  8. Sandra Sallin says

Always fun to read your Sunday posts. I laughed at the egg salad. My son will not eat yolks nor mayonnaise. So it’s nice to know there’s one other person in the world who feels the same way. loved those stripes with the bunny in front.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

Okay your son and I are on the same team. My sister used to cry whenever she got a sandwich with mayo on it. I like aioli but mayo out of a jar ick!!

  9. Joanna says

I loved the post on Sandra Sigman. I had a good look around and subscribed. What more can one desire than pretty floral arrangements, delicious recipes and beautiful homes?

I could just see your face when you realized you were being served eggs with mayonnaise. Lol Something along the same lines happened to me. We were invited to dinner and the main course, instead of meat, was basically a very large mushroom dish. Now, I detest mushrooms. But, I kept my thoughts to myself and managed to eat a portion large enough to not offend.

You must be terribly busy selling two homes. How exciting to have a fresh start though.
