Ten Posts That Defined Cindy Hattersley Design in 2025

Happy New Year!! Every content creator wants to know what makes certain posts take off while others quietly fade away. When you look at our 2025 content, clear patterns emerge. Our most successful posts share common threads that speak directly to our community looking for authentic style guidance, collected home inspiration, and posts that celebrate positive aging. These ten posts represent more than just high traffic numbers to me. Hopefully they reveal what one reader recently stated “thank you for delivering content that makes us feel seen, valued and inspired to embrace life after 60 with confidence and joy.” Let’s take a look at the ten posts that defined Cindy Hattersley Design in 2025.

Post #10-Ultimate Spring Travel Capsule Mixing the High and Low

I believe this post resonated because it balanced timeless investment pieces already in your wardrobe with affordable, high-quality finds from Zara and Quince. It’s all about creating that perfect balance, a bit of high and a bit of low so you can travel the world with a perfectly curated collection of clothes for every destination and occasion. You can find the post the Ultimate Spring Travel Capsule Mixing the High and Low here.

#9-The Best Stylish Table Lamps for Every Budget

I don’t have a single expensive table lamp in my home. We have two lamp bases in our guest room that we bought on sale at Pottery Barn and the rest are repurposed architectural elements made into lamps. That being said there are great lamps at great prices out there. You can find them in my post The Best Stylish Table Lamps for Every Budget here.

Nine Table Lamps Under $100

I am particularly fond of the olive green number from Target!! I am tempted to snag two and add some interesting shades for my guest room!

#8-13 Simple Holiday Appetizers your Guests won’t Stop Talking About

I love entertaining but I am not a fan of complicated appetizers that take hours to prepare. I am not afraid to entertain 50 or fewer. The key is (it has taken me years to learn this) is to keep it simple. People come for the commaraderie ( and the wine where we live). The food is secondary! You can find my post 13 Simple Holiday Appetizers your Guests won’t Stop Talking About here.

#6-Stylish Travel-Friendly Outfits for Women Over 60

Travel capsules and travel friendly outfits are always popular here on the blog. This one was no exception. Frank and Eileen and Mersea are popular brands here on the blog. I am probably asked about my eyewear more often than anything. Most of my eyewear I purchase locally from Specs by Kyla, but I do have my favorite online sources as well. This post The Best Popular Chic Eyewear for Women over 50, is another that I renew at least once a year because it is constantly requested!

#4-Women Over60-Makeup Techniques that Actually Work

You loved hearing Kerry-Lou share her incredible tips and tricks to help us look and feel our absolute best as we age. Kerry-Lou is over60 herself so if you missed Women Over60-Makeup Techniques that Actually Work with Kerry-Lou Henson, you must go back and read it. This is one of the most helpful posts ever created here on CHD and the most recent post in the top 10. I think this post will go on to perform even higher because it is such a relevant post!

#3-The Best Jean Jacket Looks for Stylish Women Over 50

Who doesn’t have a jean jacket in their closet that they either rarely wear or constantly wear? A classic jean jacket is one of those rare wardrobe staples that never goes out of style, and it only gets better with age. This topic remains popular year after year, so it is no surprise that The Best Jean Jacket Looks for Stylish Women Over 50 held the #3 spot.

#1-How to Wear White Jeans in Winter after 50

This post was Annie’s idea , How to Wear White Jeans in Winter after 50. I have to admit I am not a huge white jeans fan in winter or summer! They are not particularly flattering on me. Both Mary Ann and I were dragging our feet on this one, but Annie prevailed-and-guess what? This was another post that wasn’t a big rockstar on the blog but made a big showing on google!

These white jeans from Frank and Eileen are a favorite as well as the Quince sweater that I own in black as well. Sneakers are from Taos no longer available but similar here.

Kenneth Cole Gentle Souls Ella Bootie-My favorite bootie and yours apparently! This brand is consistently comfortable for me. I own the above booties, these that I wear everyday, and these tall boots. I have had all three for several years and cannot recommend them more highly. I have never worked with them but they recently sent me three new pairs including these loafers (which I can already tell I am going to love) because I recommend them so often.
