Best Simple Creative Christmas Gift Wrap Ideas
Happy Wednesday! I am recuperating from a fabulous 70th birthday party (more on that as soon as we get the photos), so I have not begun wrapping my presents yet. If you are still looking for inspiration this holiday season, I thought you might enjoy this new roundup of my Best Simple Creative Christmas Gift Wrap Ideas from the past.
Almost every year I incorporate simple kraft paper, gift boxes or butcher paper into my wrapping paper mix. It is earth friendly, inexpensive, and nearly every color of ribbon compliments it. I usually add embellishments (I am not a huge fan of bows), such as a bit of foraged greenery, berries, a simple wreath, perhaps monograms, cinnamon, or a bit of glitter, Attach with hot glue if necessary.

Christmas Gift Wrap, Black, White, and Red, and a Giveaway!
Traditional Christmas Red has never worked in my house due to my terra cotta floor tiles. I have always kind of skirted the issue at Christmas. Cindy, my favorite is that copper ribbon! Gorgeous! I haven’t started yet but hope to do most of it this weekend. Still have a few things to pick up! Can’t wait to hear more about your 70th! Mine is coming up in 2026-yikes!
Hi Mary
Happy New Year!!
Happy Christmas Cindy to you and yours and all good things in 2025! Love following your blog thank you for the fun this year ! I am amazingly for me,all ready for everyone and now it’s quiet time with a book before the madness arrives !!
Love Francesca B xox
Thank you Francesca! Same to you!
This is going to sound petty and bah humbug but even if I try to coordinate my wrap so gifts look pretty under the tree, when everyone else arrives, my plan is lost. When other packages are added, there goes the continuity but in reality, it’s all about the giving, not about designer gifts! My daughter is a wonderful wrapper after working at some stores where she learned clever tips plus she’s just naturally talented. One year she used beautiful, high quality red grosgrain ribbon and I’ve been reusing that for years – it’s become a family joke.
Ha ha!! My daughter wraps her gifts in red (which of course I have none of), but her presents aren’t here until Christmas eve…the coordinated wrap only lasts so long, but we laugh about it!!
Cindy,
I’m finished wrapping but I’ve saved several ideas for next year. I like to print the free tags and have them ready right after Christmas.
Enjoy!

Love the deer name tags. I downloaded several times but they won’t print. Can you email another way or am I doing something wrong?
Thanks so much.
