Collected Christmas Decor You Can Copy

I promise I won’t post anymore Christmas Decor ideas (fingers crossed).  The night before last while lying awake visions of sugarplums were dancing in my head.  Well not really, but ideas for next year’s decor led me down a rabbit hole.  I have written about my passion for the collected look and how to get it here, and the search page where you can find all of my related articles here.  The same equation can apply to your Christmas decor.  Let’s take a look at Collected Christmas Decor you Can Copy.

Do you remember these fabulous planters in one of the Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles Christmas Showhouses from years past?  Aren’t they fabulous?

Joni from Cote de Texas introduced us all to the beautiful work of designer Pam Pierce, now editor of the wonderful Milieu Magazine.  Her Christmas decor is still wonderful and inspiring today, as seen in Veranda several years ago.  Timeless isn’t it?

Do you follow Chris Love Julia on Instagram?  Of course, you do, who doesn’t? Their gorgeous home and fabulous Christmas decor are so inspiring.

More Pam Pierce goodness from Veranda. Love the simple tree decorated with simple glass balls, and the base surrounded by antique baskets and toys. Check out the rods and curtains? They are still current.  She is amazing.

COLLECTED CHRISTMAS DECOR

Ribbon, ornaments, table accessories

I hope you all have a safe and healthy Christmas.  We are crossing our fingers that we will be able to celebrate with Little Summer a little later.  Everyone is testing negative.  I have been searching for the perfect New Year’s cards and none seemed quite appropriate for this crazy year.  If you are like me and can’t quite get it together in time for Christmas, and are looking for cards that are more appropriate for this year with a sprinkling of humor Minted has some great cards here.

Thanks for reading How to Achieve a Collected Look in your Christmas Decor. I will be back on Sunday with my pals Mary Ann and Annie with our Sunday favorite. Also next week I will be sending out a completely anonymous survey about what you love and hate about the blog, and what you would like to read more about in 2021. Merry Christmas Love You Guys!!

Love all the inspiration, Cindy … you can keep it coming … although there’s only a day left. I’m pinning away for next year. Ken Fulk’s living room … swoon. I just got my holiday cards in the email … they won’t arrive until after Christmas but I got them done, right?! Hope you get to see sweet little Summer sooner rather than later. Merry Christmas! xo

All of the looks are so inspiring but too late for me this year. I’ll have to reference them next for inspo.
What I have done over the years are needlepoint stockings for every member of the family. It started when my son and daughter were small, then I did one for myself and their dad. When each of them married, I made one for their spouses and now have done two more, one for each grandchild. Thank goodness there are no more needing to be made because the price of buying a hand-painted canvas, the fibers and finishing has gone out of reach! I finished the last one this year, thankfully, while I can still see or have arthritis in my hands.
They have become heirlooms, just like I hoped they would with my grown children really appreciating them and if they aren’t at my house, ask me to bring them if I’m going to theirs.
    Cheers, Cindy~

I hope you and the Italian have a happy holiday only wish we could have you here. In the future if you are alone you are coming here! Unfortunately this year we are all in a pickle aren’t we?

Love your blog and your many beautiful ideas and excellent photos. That’s why it is disconcerting to come upon an advertisement for socks that say “I didn’t fart – my butt blew you a kiss.” Perhaps you can have a word with your advertisers and explain to them yours is not the demographic that is looking for that kind of product or even finds it amusing.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

Oh Marci I am so sorry. I can control the amount of ads (I have the lowest possible) and I can not allow a lot of other things I cannot mention, that I doubt I can control. You are right, you would think they would get it. It is so expensive to run a blog these days I do my best to limit what I can. I am always exploring ways to eliminate the ads entirely. Thank you for bringing it to my attention I will report it and do what I can, and thank you for hanging in there and supporting me. I so appreciate it.

These were a visual treat. Thanks for sharing them. While it will just be my husband and myself along with the furry family members, I’m still adjusting and moving decorations around. Always time for Inspiration and trial and error.

    Happy holidays 🎄!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Pamela
This year is so different isn’t it? Normally we would be so over it by now, but I am not either. I still want inspiration to learn and aspire to. For this year I have really enjoyed the season and my decor perhaps more than any other year. Lessons learned hopefully going forward. Slow down and enjoy the season, as it was meant to be (hopefully without covid)
