Sunday Fun Stuff-Interiors, Wine & Icy Treats

Welcome to Sunday Fun Stuff-Interiors, Wine and Icy Treats.  Every Sunday Mary Ann, Annie, and I share five things that caught our eye this week.  Enjoy!

#1-Icy Treats to Beat the Heat

I know the weather is scorching practically everywhere but here. Annie and Mary Ann participated in a blog hop this week where everyone came up with an ice cream or popsicle treat.  Don’t these look and sound yummy?

#4 Wine Tasting in Paso

We finally got out for an outdoor lunch and wine tasting at two of our favorite wineries in Paso, Paix Su Terre, and Villa Creek.  Fortunately, both of them have large outdoor spaces so you can socially distance.  As you can tell by the photo it is a new normal.

Here’s Steve enjoying a glass of wine on Paix Su Terre’s beautiful patio.  Their wines are very drinkable and approachable. We love all their wines but their Mouvedre’s andPic Poul Blanc are favorites.

We have been in Villa Creeks wine club for about 15 years.  Their wines are amazing and it is one of the friendliest tasting rooms in Paso.

    Cindy,
Thank you for taking us to the wineries with you. We were supposed to be in wine country this spring but seeing it would require a plane ride, well you know. Virtual working has me getting back into the blogs I followed, providing a break from whatever work I’m supposed to be doing. Thanks for providing this lovely distraction.

Cindy really love this post and especially your picks for home decor- I want them all. You have the best taste and eye. Wine tasting in Paso looks nice. I hope to get down there and try that one day! xo

Cindy! I always love your favorites! That was so sweet of you to share my Dalgona Ice cream topping! How nice to be able to social distance while wine tasting under shade trees on their large patios!

Savoring this inspiring post! You’ve created a cohesive beautiful picture of design artistically presented! Lovely in every way, thank you kindly, Laura

I too love your Sunday fun stuff posts! The vineyards in Paso Robles are some of the best! We visited Tobin James Cellars the last time we were in that area and they had some amazing wines! Living vicariously through you as there’s no wineries in Florida!

      Hi Ginger

My sister and a very good friend live in New Smyrna Beach. I hear it has been stifling there!

That was a great post. I enjoyed your mentioning Shannon Bowers design work. I don’t think I knew about her before reading your post. I miss our visits to Napa and St. Helena. How fun to be part of a wine club. My husband worked in the bay area for 2 years and I would visit every weekend…we would travel up to the wine country and taste wines from places we’d never been to. Such fun.

    Karen

I have been self isolating since mid-March. Since I live by myself, I am really missing social interaction, and frequently struggle to find enough things to keep me entertained and stimulated. Your Sunday posts are one of the bright spots of my week, so I want to say thank you so much for putting the time and effort into these. They are a nice mix of fashion, food and home decor. Your efforts are greatly appreciated!

      Hi Lily
I am so happy that you enjoy the Sunday posts, and you hang in there!n I have often thought how difficult it must be to navigate this alone. Keep commenting we will keep you company!!

Steve looks very content there. It doesn’t look like Indiana to me ! Are you sure about moving back to the Midwest? I’ll check out their wine club. Interesting you like Mouvedre’s as a stand alone wine. I usually associate it as a blending wine in something like Chateauneuf du Pape. Which one on my personal goals on our French vacation last year was to drink as much Chateauneuf du Pape as I could!!! One of my favorite wines. But I certainly value your and Steve’s assessmen. I have filled three refrigerator freezers (I don’t have a stand alone freezer) with meat, fruit and veggies just in case we are at the end of time!!!! It’s getting worse out here. Hope you are in a recovering mode where you are! Happy Sunday. Thanks for the visual retreat.

Paix Sur Terre is owned by a darling young couple. You and Howard would love their wines, very drinkable and food friendly. It is a fun place to go and have a picnic. Let’s put it on the list when you come down.
