Over 50 Fashion-Spring The Collected Look

Hi Everyone.  Welcome if you are new here.  In light of all that is going on, let’s have a little fun today with some over 50 Spring Fashion.  Mary Ann, Annie and I are happy to be joining some of our old blogging pals and some new friends today.  Let’s take a look at Over 50 Fashion-Spring The Collected Look.

OVER 50 FASHION SPRING COLLECTED

I have been told that I dress like my home.  I love a collected look in my home and I guess my fashion style is similar. I don’t generally wear a lot of patterns. I collect artisan-made and vintage accessories and like them to be the stars.  I am only 5’4 so I have to be careful that I don’t get too carried away so I don’t look like they are wearing me.

I want to thank Peruvian Connection for gifting me this gorgeous Santorini Pima Cotton Pullover. I loved it in the catalogue and I love it even more now. They did not have my size so I had them send me a M/L and I like the way it fits.  It is beautifully made and will become a favorite. Here I am wearing it with the Banana Republic Sloane pants, some vintage Don Lucas earrings, and a necklace made into a bracelet on my wrist.

I also paired it with my favorite cp shades lily skirt that you have seen before here, How to Stay Stylish in a Heatwave and here Over 50 fall fashion trends.

I would love to have this skirt in black and white.  It is so versatile.  Here in California, it can be worn year-round.

Here I am wearing my favorite Michael Stars Shine Tee with the Banana Republic Sloane pant. This is a great pant by the way for the money. I accessorized them with earrings I bought in Arizona, a Kantha scarf from eBay and my new favorite splurge the Artemis Design Co. Mules.  All items that are available are linked below the image.

SHOP THE LOOK

Don’t be afraid to mix the high and the low, and the new and the old. This tunic I have owned for at least five years.  I purchased it at a shop called Chartreuse in Carmel (a favorite of mine).  The pants are my favorite summer leggings from Target (Assets by Spanx).  They come in high rise, regular, and capris.  They have a great price-point and are really well made.  Again I am wearing my Artemis slippers, the same earrings, and the bracelets I have collected over the years.  The necklace is by Paula Carvalho She is on Instagram.

If you read my post on the Design Influencers conference you saw this Eileen Fisher trench that I purchased on eBay. I am wearing it with the Michael Stars Shine tee, horn bracelets and necklace and leopard mules from Madewell.

Looking for the pants that the blogger on the stairs holding her hat is wearing! Which one of you is this?! Sorry if I missed it…

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Susan

That image is a non-copyrighted canva graphic image that I used to produce the graphic. I would try hat attack, san diego hat company, hats in the belfry or Helen Kaminski online. Good Luck sorry I am not much help!

Girl you got me aching for that Ebay jacket…..the color is perfection! I have had some good luck shopping in consignment stores lately so now I will be on the hunt for some of these colors. You always look so good….I LOVE YOUR STYLE! And all of your unusual jewelry!
    xoxo

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Sherry

That jacket has sort of gone viral. I love Eileen Fisher’s jackets but I usually buy them a season later on Ebay! Thanks for joining us this month. We love having you! Be sure and model the jacket when you get it!

  3. Annie Diamond says

Cindy! I adore your style. You are so creative and it shows in how you wear your clothes. I can’t even pick a favorite look because they are all so beautiful! I love how you wear one piece in several ways. You can take a piece like the top from Peruvian Connection and wear it with slim black pants for a casual look or pair it with a gorgeous skirt for a more “party” look with your jewelry.

Annie we all dress like our homes don’t we? I love your style, I am always channeling you as well. Most of my jewelry pieces are gifts from my hubby over the years. The belt and earrings with the skirt were both gifts from Steve probably 15-20 years ago. I am much more fascinated with accessories than I am with the rest!

    Cindy,
Can you tell me the brand/style of your sunglasses here in your March 12th post. You look great! Thank you.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Mary Kay
I quit linking them because they sold out but I found them on Amazon. I linked them below the pic of the trench. If you need a perscription version call Site for Sore Eyes in Salinas, 831-424-1242 and tell them I sent you. They can order them for you. They are very professional and helpful!

    Hey Cindy!,
How are you and Steve loving Summer? I am so envious. Do you have a tattoo on your left ankle or is that a shadow?

Anyway, I love your site, more when it was about decorating, but I live on social security and only wish I could afford your selections! Maybe you could feature an occasional post from stores that those of us who are poor could benefit?? LOL

You are beautiful and look great! Please say hello to Steve for me,
    With love,
    Brenda Nelson

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Brenda
Nice to hear from you. We adore little Summer she is quite a character just like her mom was! FYI I try and do two posts a week one on decor and one over 50 fashion or beauty oriented. I buy most of my clothes on ebay, etsy, and poshmark. You can find great bargains there as well as thread up and the real real. Give them a try! I am working on an upcoming post on how to buy on ebay etc. Hope that will help!!

Hello! You are my 5’4″ height and about my size and shape. Needless to say, you have a new follower! Your comment about wearing your clothes and not looking like your clothes are wearing you really resonated with me. I’m looking forward to all you have to offer! I used the link from kay harms to find you. I’m glad I did!

I just love how you put things together, Cindy…so COLLECTED and polished! Naturally, I want everything you are wearing, as usual 🙂

Thanks for organizing this fashion post together. Good to have something fun to think about other than the gloom of the virus.
    Take care!
    Mary Ann
