OUTFIT OF THE WEEK

This week I am loving Eileen Fisher.  This terry wrap skirt looks so comfy and carefree for summer.  I paired it with her gauze shirt, a great Eileen fFsher/mar y sol collab bag, a straw hat and jewelry from banana, sneaks from Superga (I can wear them with my bunion yippee!), and ray ban sunglasses.

SHOP OUTFIT OF THE WEEK

I have to tell you I think Eileen Fisher is killing it right now with her new casual summer looks.  I love everything in the organic gauze collection,(I have had my eye on this poncho) and the pucker linen collection   especially this dress) I think they are casual, cool stylish options for summer.  I featured the gauze top with the french terry skirt in this week’s outfit of the week.  I want it all1. How about you? I also love her collaboration with Mary Y Sol.

BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS SUMMER SLOW COOKER RECIPES

Who says the slow cooker is just for winter? Better Homes and Gardens has some great summer slow cooker recipes for when it is too hot to cook.

PATRICIA HUBER FINE ART

I have written often about my love of Patricia Huber Fine Art. Pat is one of my very best friends (I sure miss her since she has relocated to Kentucky). With each move (this is the last until we go to the old folks’ home), I can’t wait to unpack the paintings she has done for us. Recently she painted Summer running through the waves in Hawaii as a gift. I cannot wait to unpack and have it framed. I wanted to wait until we moved to find a special place for it. Pat has painted all of our animals, our former home, and our son’s home. You can find all of them here. This painting was recently “Accepted into the American Impressionist Society 2022 Juried Online Exhibition”. However, this commissioned painting really caught my eye. Those of us who live or lived in Monterey County recall the sheep who graze the hills of toro every Spring. You can read more about Pat’s work here on the blog as well.

ETTO PASTIFICIO

One of the many things I love about Paso Robles is the small boutiques. One of my favorites is Etto Pastificio. Their pasta is fabulous and you can order Etto online here. If you are local or just passing through, they are located in the Tin City Complex, right off the freeway. You can also subscribe to their newsletter which is also quite entertaining. It almost always has a delicious recipe like this Sausage and Greens recipe from Serious Eats., and this article on how to sauce pasta also from Serious Eats. As a former crazy cat lady ( I have the cup to prove it “one cat short of crazy”) I recently enjoyed reading about the cats of Etto. They apparently have a pack of ferals that they have neutered and adopted, and now they have Figaro pasta.

I loved today’s post, but you always have ideas to inspire me. Most of all I am excited to learn about Pat Huber’s work. I have lived in Lexington KY for many years and enjoy following our local art’s scene. I hope to see more of her work here. Thank you for introducing me. I certainly enjoyed the interiors by Pure, I am planning some bedroom updates and you are moving me in a less traditional direction.

The Paso Robles restaurant you talk about sounds wonderful.
I will try the slow cooker ribs this summer. That would be great for an easy summer meal for friends.

Years ago I used to attend the charity house walk, Berries and Branches for Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital and that is where I saw your design work Cindy that was always the home that was the best of all! It was the first time I saw Pat Huber’s art and fell in love with her paintings. I have collected many of her paintings now and the latest is the one you featured today! I also commission her for paintings of client’s homes as a gift when they close escrow. She is so talented. Anyway, loved seeing the blog today!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Sharon!

Thank you for the compliment. I am so glad to have gotten to know you through the sale of our home. I couldn’t imagine a better realtor on the peninsula!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Linda

I fixed the link to the pasta. Were there any others you were having problems with? I couldn’t find any others that did not work. Thank you for letting me know.

  10. Pat says

Thanks for the target dress the other day. I got one in white (not at all see through) and pink (a great warm almost coral pink), know I will be enjoying them all summer, love the pockets !

  11. Linda H says

The link, to order the pasta, takes me to Instgram, and Pure Salt Interiors.

“They have a pack of ferals that they have neutered and adopted, and now they have Figaro pasta.” I know what you meant but I had to read it twice. First thought “Pasta made from feral cats?!” I apparently have not fully awakened. Lol.
