Moody Interiors and Fall Feels
Happy Sunday all! We just had four days of Summer all to ourselves. Scouty and I are missing her already. Let’s join Annie and Mary Ann for some moody interiors and fall feels.
Moody Interiors and Fall Feels
Sean Anderson Design
I know I have probably featured designer Sean Anderson before, but his moody soulful interiors are so appealing this time of year. “His design philosophy is rooted in the pursuit of creating customized, soulful spaces that tell the unique story of those who inhabit them.” You can see Sean’s entire portfolio here, and you can follow Sean on Instagram here. His work is masterfully photographed by Haris Kenjar

Outfits of the Week
I am drawn to the combination of black and brown this weekend. I spotted this faux fur poncho at Saks Off Fifth, and new it would be a fun fall wardrobe addition.

Poncho, pants, shoes, bag, strap, sweater, earrings, bracelet

Soup Season
This week we had a mixture of summer and fall. We took Summer to the beach on Friday and it was in the low 80’s. It always cools off at night, so I am in soup making mode. Last night we had roast chicken so tomorrow I am making this Chicken Wild Rice Soup from Closet Cooking.I have learned that you do not need to add liquid to mushrooms. Cook them dry in a skillet (it enhances the flavor). You can skip the extra tablespoons of butter!

Thank you for joining me for Moody Interiors and Fall Feels. If you would like to catch up on any of our past Sunday Favorites you can do so here. What are you up to today? Do you have any Sunday fun planned? Let’s pop over and visit Mary Ann and Annie and see what they are up to.

Cindy going to try that soup tonight! It looks delicious. Appreciate the tips on mushrooms too. I think you need that cape!! xo
Love the interiors! I’m making chicken and wild rice soup too (similar to yours) too since fall (finally) showed up. So nice you had some Sumer time-I’ll bet she’s up for any adventure!
Hi Barb
You will love that soup! We sure enjoyed Summer – she is a great kid! Her parents have done well.
What Annie said! It was so easy to see you in that OOTD! (And black and brown is a favorite.)
Hi Susan
I am coveting that cape!!
Making the soup next Sunday for guests who bought me dehydrated mixed mushrooms from Italy and this will be the perfect vehicle for them!
Lucky you! Mushrooms from Italy!! They add so much flavor!!
Cindy! I love black and brown! Both for my home and what I’m wearing! Your outfits of the week…I can see you in them! Gorgeous!
Thank you for the shoutout on my shop!! That’s so nice of you!!
Xoxo
Hi Annie
Thank you so much…I love that outfit!!
Drooling over the soup recipe and it’s finally cool enough to cook!
You always do such beautiful posts but I have to say I’m one of those people for whom a little brown goes a long way. I’m looking forward to Xmas when we bring out the greens and reds.
Hi Leslie
I totally get it. I rarely wear brown either but I do like the black and brown combo!!~
I have to disagree on the use of white walls. Great when accompanied by good architecture and design, like French White Oak vaulted ceilings, black iron windows, and an occasional black interior door (like for a powder room), wood floors, stone accents, and an array of colors and textures in furnishings. I like to draw the outside in. The problem is when you walk into a home that is ALL WHITE, with none of the above described features.
Hi Patty
I know rules are made to be broken. I agree too much white can be antiseptic, but there are those that can pull it off with tons of texture like Beth Webb!!
Sean Anderson’s interiors look so inviting and calm.
Can’t wait to make that soup!
Hi Mary Ann
We hae been eating the soup for days and it just gets better!!
