Longevity, Finding Love Later in Life and More

As we live longer, richer lives, the traditional timeline for major life events is happily becoming obsolete-yippee! The conversation around longevity isn’t just about adding years to our lives, but adding more life to our years. This shift in perspective means that finding joy, like finding transformative love later in life, are becoming more common and celebrated! Let’s chat about Longevity, Finding Love Later in Life and More.

  1. Good evening Cindy,
You are so right, Molly is amazing. Her house is charming all year and filled with so many interesting treasures from auctions and from her mother. At Christmas is is magical. My favorite thing though is the view and the pups.
Love that sweater! Santa! If you are listening.
I hope that you have a wonderful week.

  2. Hi Cindy — You are so kind to share my holiday home today! Thank you! Love the outfit — maybe you will find the sweater in your stocking! 😉

  3. Cindy! Molly’s home is the best – year-round – but at Christmas it’s a new level. Those Alemais pants are gorgeous … but the plaid Zara’s are pretty cool too. Can you believe it’s December 1?!!! xo

  4. Boy gets girl. High school. Boy loses girl. He goes into navy. She goes away to college. Four years later Boy gets girl back. She says no. He disappears. She tries to find him. Even goes to a private detective. Fifty years later he contacts her on her Instagram. He is widowed. She divorced. Guy gets girl back. We now live together and are planning our future. No matter how short. Very sweet.

  5. The house in Maine looks so inviting, especially with fresh greenery. I can imagine how beautiful it would smell, combined with the open fire. However, it is summer here, so the recipes will be ones I can definitely use in the upcoming months. Good luck to those who find love later in life, although with 4 husbands behind her, if I were Jane Seymour, I would probably pack it all in and buy a dog instead.

  6. After a failed first marriage, I was happily single for 26 years. With a rewarding career that let me travel, two fabulous adult children, beautiful grandchildren, I could honestly say I was alone but not lonely. Along comes a handsome 6’4″ man into my life (I’m 5′ 4″) and I knew I couldn’t live without him. We “dated” for six years, and finally last year in September when we both turned 70, we got hitched! We wanted a simple ceremony before a judge that was a family friend, and our children were present. My husband surprised me at the ceremony with a poem he had written, telling me the ways he would be my partner in life. It included loving my two dogs as his own. He has fulfilled his promises. I, like Reba, can say I’m happier at 71 than I ever was at 31. When love comes along, just say yes.

    1. Hi Becky

Thank you so much for sharing!! What a fabulous story and wonderful man!!

  7. I’ve had mixed reactions to the previous green with plum outfits, but these! Oh my. Wonderful, casual, holiday looks. And the dinner party menu and timeline is inspiring. We had a simple Thanksgiving menu this year, and it was soooo much better than our traditional extravaganza…truly stress free with four dishes, and the guests brought pies. 😀 I think this may be our new normal!

  8. Molly is Maine has such a cozy vibe year round. I can’t wait to see more of your holiday decor!
