I’m going to be the MOB this October — wedding in the mountains of North Carolina. Between dress and shoe shopping — which I haven’t even started — it’s going to be an adventure !! I am more of a dressy jeans flats kind of gal !! Wish me luck

If you haven’t tried Ally shoes you’re missing out! They are high quality and beautifully made one pair at a time fitted to your feet. I bought their low block heel pump for our son’s wedding and they were exceedingly comfortable and chic. Suede lining with arch support and cushioning. Price point of just under $300 but worth it in every way!

      Hi Ellen

I don’t wear heels and cannot wear pointed toe shoes unless it is a mule but the shoes look wonderul!

Oooh, As an embroiderer, I’m totally up for the embroidered silk slides. They’re stunning!
Except I wish they had a slingback or solid back. I always worry I’ll step out of slides.
    Great list, thank you.

      Hi Prue

I don’t have a problem walking out of mules. It may be due to my wider foot!

I have size 5, extra wide feet and a high arch. It’s virtually impossible to find pretty shoes that fit.

Omg, this is just what I’m looking for! Now I just need an outfit. What do 75 y o overweight women wear? I’ll be grandmother of the groom and I’m thinking of a silk tunic/jacket with pants.
    Thanks, I love your blogs,

I love your tunic with pants! I suggest a soft and billowy tunic, something that flows, in a print, definitely with a collar of some type, love the stand-up kind with a small ruffle all around as well as a spread collar (Chicos and Anthropologie maybe) with the pants fuller in the leg and in a solid color. You can never, ever go wrong with pearls, and don’t forget a beautiful manicure, with clear or color. Best wishes to your grandson and his bride – and have a wonderful time!
