My mom passed in 1987; it’s been forever and a day. I’ll spend the Sunday with family at the older daughter’s home. Her 47th birthday is the Thursday prior, and we’ve held a joint celebration for years. I’ll be handwriting how much it means to me that we’ve celebrated together for many years. You see, she’s my stepdaughter and we came into each other’s lives at 22 and 2. My other daughter, the younger one, is 32, and it’s twice the fun to be with both of them together. Thank you for the great outfits! I’m going to treat myself to the J.Crew bucket hat. I’ve coveted the Helen Kaminski version for years. Lovely suggestions, every one! Thank you, and Happy Mother’s Day!

    Cindy,
I so enjoyed this post. My mom is no longer with us, but I have two lovely daughters-in-law that are wonderful to my sons and my grandchildren. I always buy them a little something in appreciation for their kind and caring nature. Thank you for some great ideas.
    Have a wonderful Mother’s Day.

Cindy! Such thoughtful ideas for gifts for mom! Experience gifts are the best! I didn’t know about Rita’s creative classes—would love that! And your outfit of the week…love the top and the dress!

      Hi Annie

Don’t you wish we had the time to indulge in some of those classes? During retirement hopefully!!

I like the idea of writing a letter to my mom even though she died in 2018. Maybe my daughter might read it one day. We’ve lost the ability to write from the heart my hand, and it would be a lovely thing to do for the moms in our lives whether they are still here with us or not.

      Hi Maeve

I like that idea as well. My mom has passed as well and could be rather difficult. I know she probably did the best she could. She had a terrible upbringing. I would like to let her know that I understand why she was the way she was.

A great idea to write your Mom a letter or note.. My Mom died on Christmas Day 2016. Yep, that’s right. She was always a tad dramatic. I will write a letter-could take twenty minutes or a week. I won’t have anyone to give it to as my family is all gone now, but maybe I’ll write it for myself. Thanks for a neat idea.

      Hi Leslie

I love that shirt and dress!! I broke down and ordered the shirt…couldn’t resist!!

That red and white outfit is so cute.! I used to have a top like that that I loved but all the elastic wore out.
    So many wonderful ideas.
