I just got back last night from a whirlwind two days in the bay area. My daughter, niece, and I threw a baby shower for my niece Erin (more on that soon). It was hotter than blazes but we all had a great time. I was thinking as I was driving home that “we” haven’t had a good chit-chat in a while. What are you loving right now? Annie, Mary Ann, and I share our favorites on Sunday. I would love to hear from you this week. What are you loving right now?
CAFE DESIGN DECORATING FROM THE HEART
I have been meaning to comment on Eva Contreras post on Decorating From the Heart. It’s all about what I consider “a collected gathered look, ” which we often discuss here. She features some of her favorite homes including that of Rita Konig (daughter of Nina Campbell) in House and Garden (photographed by Paul Massey)
FOOD AND WINE 15 SUMMER SALADS
This post popped up in my inbox last week Food and Wine’s 15 Summery Salads for a bbq. This grilled okra corn salad is on my list to try.
SAM EDELMAN GET $15 GIVE $15
I just ordered a pair of Sam Edelman Sandals that I love. He has a special right now where you can refer a friend and get $15 off as well as your friend. A win-win situation for you and your friend.
NORDSTROM BEAUTY & MEN’S SALE FAVORITES
As promised here are my favorites from the Nordstrom sale. I couldn’t find very many that interested me. I would be remiss if I just listed products I know nothing about. Here are my favorites. Please share yours. You can find my Nordstrom Home Favorites here (there are some great buys ), and my Nordstrom fashion favorites here.
I spotted a few things that I want to order for Steve from the sale. He loves Olukai. He has terrible foot issues from an accident. There are very few shoes that he can wear.
CREATE ACADEMY
Have any of you tried any of Create Academy’s courses? I have not, but I am very tempted. They are having 10% off their floral-related courses right now. Let us know if you have tried any that you love.
That’s it for me this week. Thank you so much for reading What are you Loving Right Now. I don’t think I tell you often enough how much I appreciate each and every one of you. I enjoy this community so much. I know Annie and Mary Ann feel the same way. Pop over and give them a visit. I will be back on Tuesday with Jennifer for our Over 50 Fashion edit. I think you will enjoy this one!

Going to read Eva’s post right now. I adore her. And, yes, I’ve taken the Rita Honig Create Academy course. So good. Love everything you share on the blog, Cindy … so just keep bringing more of the same … especially your new house! xo

I am thoroughly enjoying your blog, Cindy. You cover so much that interests me…and beautifully presented.
I am loving the time recently spent with my husband’s side of the family.
It has been so much better than at Christmas when nephews had bouts of Covid which basically broke up our plans to gather.
I am loving meeting a wee baby who is the first grandchild… Hazel(nut) is so wonderful to cuddle 🥰 and fills me with love. The parents are such a wonderful couple.
I am loving the time travelling from Vancouver Island on highways not travelled to reach central Alberta, with spectacular scenery along the Yellowhead Highway …tête jaune…with a husband who loves driving. Good to reconnect with fewer distractions.

Hi Cath
Congratulations on the new grandbaby! You are going to have a blast. I love the nickname so charming. We have much to be thankful for, don’t we? Sometimes we spend too much time dwelling on the negative, and forget about the positive.

And we so appreciate you Cindy for all you give to your blog! So many helpful ideas for ….well, everything! I look forward to receiving your email and it is the first one I open every time I see it arrive. I always learn something new from interior design, to garden design to recipes, to fashion and beauty to….plastic surgery (which encouraged me to make that appointment for a face lift!). Thank you! Your blog is really the best!

Hmmm, okra. Not sure I’ve ever had it or would even know where to buy. In terms of what am I loving right now? The joy of having live music in the summer at different venues, usually wineries, and the fun of being outside in warm weather to enjoy. That is one thing that we could so easily find in Hawaii was live music any time! Also, the time to spend with women friends without any other encumbrances (…..read my meaning!).
Have a great week, Cindy~

Watching The Established Home on Magnolia Network. Jean Stoffer is a designer in Grand Rapids Michigan. Really interesting to watch her design beautiful interiors for older homes back east. I especially liked the Beach house episode.

Hi Cindy,
I found a couple of things that I like to buy on sale. One is the Natori bras, and the other is On Cloud athletic shoes. They are so comfortable, and I walk about four miles every day, so they are great support. One other thing I’m loving is Supergoop! Un-Seen sunscreen. I’ve never had sunscreen for my face that has been as invisible and yet does its job. I do have sunscreen in my foundation but because I’m out in the sun every day I felt I needed more.
I love your Sunday posts.

At some point, I think you mentioned that you needed to have some cabinetry done. You might want to check out Santori Woodworking on the Central Coast. They do beautiful work. I believe they are on Houzz.
