I would sell my soul for this Trampart Mirror from PB by San Francisco designer Ken Fulk if I had a place for it. It’s on sale.
My new blogging friend Debra Wolfe pens the blog A Daily Plate of Crazy here. The Huffington Post just picked up “Getting Back in the Game over 50”. You can read it in it’s entireity here. Her posts are always thought provoking but if you are “of the age” like moi and are trying to reinvent yourself this one is bound to hit home.
Love these gorgeous monogrammed napkins from TG Hatfield and Company here
Joni from Cote de Texas had a great post this week about 2016 trends in Interior Design here.
It is a long one so grab a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Her posts are always so well researched and thought out so it is time well spent. I would love to hear your thoughts.
I am still enjoying my design books that I received for Christmas. This dining room from Timothy Whealon’s In Pursuit of Beauty stops me in my tracks. Isn’t it just beyond fabulous?
If you follow me on Instagram, if you don’t please do #cindyhattersley. I posted this photo of Talbot Vineyards (right across the valley from my house) Woo Hoo it is finally raining in California!
I use to love finding tramp art frames and mirrors in the Adirondacks when we use to have a house there! THank you for reminding me how cool they are! xo K
Hi Cindy! The bestie pic with your friend is my favorite but I adore the napkin!! That will be put on my must have list!! I hope you have a great week!! Leslie Sinclair
Cindy, I apologize for saying "Leslie". I think I was distracted. Of course I know you are Cindy. 🙂

Karen
Leslie,
I love this post. I'm sorry I don't receive your email of a new post until later and I'm never sure how to correct this, but in any event your posts are always a "must read" for me.
I love the embroidered napkins and while I'm not one to follow trends, I do love to know what's considered "trending".
xo,
Karen
Hi Karen…I agree re: trends! I like to keep current but try to avoid being "trendy".
SO, good of you to mention D.A. and her BLOG!
WE WOMEN of a certain AGE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER!!!
GORGEOUS photo of YOU and MARY ANN.I will now be able to pick YOU out in a crowded room!
As for COTE DE TEXAS…………….Yes she researches and has some amazing HOMES pictured but in ALL honestly I rarely OPEN her BLOG.The Posts are way too LONG.
I love D.A's blog.she keeps me on my toes!!
Hi Cindy, thank you for all these wonderful bits of inspiration–I'll definitely be reading the HuffPost piece, sounds like it's written for me. 🙂 What a lovely picture of you and MaryAnn. I know what you mean about needing those kind of "talks" that replenish us. Friends that do that for us are a true blessing.
Thanks for being an official member of my "what-the-hell-happened-to-my-WLW?!" club.
I still can't believe it gone sniff-sniff
happy 2016!!
xo
Leslie
Me either I am still totally ticked off! I hate having pictures all different sizes and my blog looking like crap!!
Love the pic of you & Mary Ann in that setting! Family and friends are great treasure and you live that motto well Cindy!
Because of people like you…
Dear Cindy, how fortunate you are to have made such a dear friend in Mary Ann. That is the CUTEST photo of the 2 of you! Best wishes, Celia
We are going to meet one day Celia!! Let's plan on it!!
Have a wonderful weekend!
xo, Lissy
Lissy I so love hearing from you!! I would love to come visit your "neck of the woods" some time!!
Well I've haven't met you or Mary Ann but I love both of you! Happy New Year to you and I really hope it is a good one. x Sharon
Sharon you are one of my treasured blog friends…if we ever get to Africa or you here…you are welcome at my home anytime!!
Such fun tidbits Cindy! I love the monogrammed napkins and I did read Joni's post – so thorough (as you said) and definitely food for thought. Personally, I subscribe to the "find your style" design advice and try not to buy into trends too much. Just enough to freshen things up!
Have a great weekend!

Hi Cindy..I am in love with the painting of the dog over the fireplace!!! Love the linen napkins too. Enjoy your weekend.
Katie!!! You are so right..isn't that what makes the whole room work? Genius!!
First, I laughed about "selling your soul" and then I got choked up about your sweet friendship comment, Cindy. YOU always have the best advice! LOVE YOU!
So glad we are pals!!
Thanks so much for including mention of my blog and of my latest Huff Post piece. (We women of a certain age have certain challenges, but so many advantages — including community — if we just know how to use them well.)
Oh, that Schumacher fabric looks yummy… And beautiful interiors that make smart use of mirrors remind me to reconsider some of my (art-laden) walls, and the option of mixing in mirrors to create a greater sense of space.
Enjoy your rain, and your weekend!
