There is no need to fret about your fall home decor. You can find inspiration in nature to make simple changes. Fall decorating is all about cozying up your home and making it more inviting for your guests. Let’s talk about simple ways to make your home cozy and inviting for fall.
Begin at the Front Door-Add a Wreath
This year I grabbed a simple grapevine wreath and added faux pumpkins, natural elements from the yard, and some dried and faux greenery and created a pretty fall wreath with lots of texture for my front door. It is actually a gate to our courtyard. I like to change my wreath up every year so I try not to glue anything that I don’t have to. That way I can dismantle it and save the components for another year. You can see how I did this in my post here.
Inside the gate on my console table I added simple foraged oak branches to the wine hotte.
Don’t Forget the Back Door
You saw the transformation of this small space at our back entry in my post Simple Ways to Amp up Your Your Home’s Fall Curb appeal here. We had this console table in storage from our former home. I added foraged leaves and cinderella pumpkins in orange and greens to the pots I have owned for years.
Add Simple Fall Touches in the Den
I added some preserved fall leaves to the Native American basket on the antique blanket chest
I added a smoked wood votivo candle and some pinecones to the basket on the coffee table. On my couch I switched out the summer throws for my fall throw blankets, and changed out my pillow covers. For Christmas all I will do is exchange the leaves for some Christmas greens and call it good. You can see my den decorated for Summer in this post Five Simple Ways to Refresh your Home for Summer.
Add Warmth and Layers in the Living Room
I don’t make a lot of seasonal changes to my accessories. I like to keep the changes minimal. On the tavern table next to our corner cupboard. I switch out the items on the table seasonally.
I moved the wine bottle (vase) from the built in and filled it with more preserved leaves. I filled the bowl with pomegranates. You could also do pumpkins, acorns or apples.
I added some branches from my yard to the coffee table in our great room.
I added a few new throw pillows to the sofa and switched out my throws to something warmer.
On the dining table I filled my vintage bowl with pumpkins
KITCHEN-BANQUETTE AREA
I rotated a few pillow covers and added pumpkins to the bowl on my table. You can learn more about the beautiful tableware from Fete Home in my post Seven Stylish Tips for Hosting the Perfect Outdoor Dinner Party.

All of your fall touches are lovely and quietly captivating. So much warmth and texture. I’ve added a few nods to fall by changing pillow covers, throws and candles.
