Do you Love Pink Dresses, Interiors & Gardens

Happy Sunday everyone, today I am joining my pals Mary Ann and Annie for our Sunday faves. I have to be honest as a rule I am not a pink fan, but I am taking one for the team this week. Do you Love Pink Dresses, Interiors & Gardens? If so you have come to the right place.

PRETTY PINK TULIPS

Forgive me if I have featured Elizabeth’s beautiful garden before, but there is nothing prettier in Spring than her charming shingled house surrounded by thousands of tulips. You can follow Elizabeth, Pretty Pink Tulips on Instagram here.

MAKE MINE A SPRITZER ROSE HIBISCUS SPRITZ

Whenever I am looking for a refreshing cocktail I look no farther than Juliet’s blog. She is the cocktail queen. I think this Rose Hibiscus Spritz sounds like the perfect cocktail for hot weather.

KATHY PERDUE’S CHARMING COTTAGE

I feel like I have known Kathy forever (well virtually that is) Kathy is a retired decorator and blogger. I love following her on Instagram here. She lost the love of her life a few years ago but remains positive and upbeat. She enjoys tweaking her charming cottage seasonally and happily shares her thought process. Here are a few pics from her Spring update. Did I mention that Kathy is one of the sweetest people on earth?

DIANE KEATON IN J CREW

I remember a few years back J Crew featured mature women in some of their campaigns. I was thrilled to see one of my favorites Diane Keaton hamming it up in their “Style for Decades Campaign”. You can read more about it in the Rolling Stone article here. I own that hat she is wearing by the way and it is great for the pool. FYI J Crew is having a big sale on sale right now, and I just ordered several things from J Crew Factory for Summer-cute stuff!

That’s it from my desk this week! Thank you for reading Do you Love Pink Dresses, Interiors & Gardens. If you want to catch up on any of my Sunday favorites you can find them here. This week was a crazy one here on the blog. One post got postponed so I scrambled to fill the spot. Things should be back to normal next week. Jennifer and I will be here on Tuesday with some Spring/Summer capsule wardrobe ideas. Now let’s pop over and visit Annie and Mary Ann for their favorites.

Love Elizabeth, Kathy and Diane … J.Crew too! Thanks so much for shouting out my Rose Hibiscus Spritz … officially my favorite spritz and the perfect drink for these warmer days of late spring and summer. xo

      Hi Juliet

You are my cocktail guru! You should do an e book on your cocktails.

      Hi Kim

You might remember Elizabeth from her old blogging days!!

  4. Katherine says

    Hi Cindy,
Elizabeth’s garden is feminine and so beautiful. It’s fun to see everyone’s style isn’t it?
I used to wear maxi dresses and mid length and loved skirts the best. Now I stay away from both due to my need to live in my sneakers. I still enjoy seeing them on others.
I prefer at this stage in my life more of a Diane Keaton style of dressing. I love her look bad I did Katharine Hepburn look. The baggy pants the whole casual vibe.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Katherine

It’s hard to beat the comfort of sneakers isn’t it? I haven’t totally embraced the sneaker skirt and dress fad, but I do think a casual t shirt dress or one like my white one can work with sneaks. Diane Keaton is the best, isn’t she?

I never realized it but I definitely am in camp PINK! I do wear it alot! I love the pink theme this week. Thanks from all the “pink ladies” – wasn’t that the girls on Grease?? 🤣

      Hi Bette

I love many of those block prints on Etsy but have not yet tried them. Most tend to hit me right under the boob area (I am long waisted). If they fit you they are fabulous!

Lovely post thank you Cindy. Love pink and green ! Happy week enjoy the sunshine!

maggie: there is a right arrow and a left arrow below the picture of the dress, shoes, hat, earrings…. click on the right arrow and a picture of the dress alone should show on your screen. click on the dress. $250 at SAKS FIFTH AVENUE. for some reason, instead of a picture of the dress, a white box came up (for me) with a blue circle and question mark in it. if that happens to you, too, just click on the question mark and the dress should come up. good luck – eileen (california)

Oh Cindy you’re so good to me! Thank you for such a glowing compliment. I think you’re pretty special too! I’m definitely a lover of pink so seeing so many pretty examples did my heart good. I’d love to see you in the ensemble you put together. Oh how I love your style 😘🌷💗🌸

  8. Karen B. says

    Hi Cindy,
I follow Kathy’s blog and was sad when her sweet husband passed. I enjoyed this post. I’m not a huge pink fan but everything here made me think that maybe I need to add a bit of pink to my life. Maybe some tulips? 😊💕

When I discovered half my summer wardrobe is pink, peachy pink and coral. I realized how drawn I am to those colors. And I particularly find those colors flattering on most skin tones. While your currated outfit of the week is very pretty, I find those busy floral dresses best suited for young women who can wear almost anything. I feel like I am wearing a “house dress” and the overall look is pretty dowdy. Maybe it’s just me.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Lindsay

I think these dresses can be difficult, but they are much loved and worn beautifully by many. I try to add outfits that sometimes would not necessarily work for me personally but might for others (a variety). I have a difficult time with dresses in general.

  10. Serena says

I would love to actually see you in that outfit of the week. It would give me a better idea of the overall style. Enjoyed reading your blog so much.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Serena

Unfortunately, I cannot purchase every outfit every week. I try to offer a variety of options as best I can.

  11. Mary Ann Pickett says

From a girl who loves pink…THANK YOU.
Kathy is so down-to-earth and kind…I’d love to have coffee in her garden.
Speaking of gardens…Elizabeth’s tulips are breathtaking.
Hope you have a wonderful week!

  12. Annie Diamond says

Cindy! Happy Sunday! The minute I saw those pink tulips, I knew it had to be Elizabeth’s house, which is not too far from me! And I love Kathy and feel like I’ve known her forever too! I recognized her home too!

I adore Diane Keaton’s style! I have to watch her new movie, Book Club, where they go to Italy just for her fashion!
    xx
