HOW TO MAKE A FAUX WREATH LOOK NATURAL

We are in full Christmas decor mode here, and I am guessing you are too. If you have purchased a faux wreath that you think could use a little help you might find this tutorial of mine on how to make a faux wreath look natural helpful.

FALL HARVEST SALAD-JULIA’S ALBUM

My sister in law was ill and unable to attend Thanksgiving but sent this beautiful fall harvest salad from Julia’s album. My sister in law replaced the pecans with candied pecans.

I find that I get dressed up less and less. For this weeks outfit of the week, I chose this fun tartan shirt from J Crew (J Crew is having 50% off sitewide) that could be worn with jeans or the great Eileen Fisher velvet pants. I accessorized the oufit with crystal jewelry and fun Vivaia flats.

GIFTS FOR THE GARDNER

This is my annual gardener’s gift guide. There are a few old favorites and several new. You won’t find any cute impractical gardener’s gifts here. These are tools and products that I use and love. Every gardener needs a great pair of loppers, rose gloves, pretty hose storage, felco pruners, a functional hose that isn’t some weird color, great garden tape that isn’t fluorescent green, a functional garden hat, sturdy garden gloves, and a favorite vase for their favorite blooms.

Cindy, that salad looks delicious and I love the substitute of candied pecans. Thanks for the tips on making faux wreaths look more natural. Holiday decorating starts today as we just arrived back in town last night. I agree on the dressing up comment as I seem to be more business casual lately too. Happy soon to be December.

      Hi Mary

Happy Holidays! I feel like anything that is too dressy…I just don’t wear more than once.

I will share more of Summer. I always worry a little bit about that. I will be sharing my outdoor courtyard decorated for Xmas as well! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
