Sunday Fab Five-fall table,Serena Crawford and SGGeneva

MY SIMPLE THANKSGIVING TABLE FOR SIX.5

Like most of you, we will be celebrating just with our immediate family for Thanksgiving.  Little Summer, Jenn, and Darius arrived last night for the week, so we made pizza and salad and enjoyed the last meal at our table decorated for Fall.  If you want to know how many meals we have enjoyed at this table recently my husband walked into the room and said when did you decorate the table for Fall.  My answer two months ago. Let’s take a look at Sunday Fab Five-fall table, Serena Crawford and SGGeneva

CINDY HATTERSLEY FALL TABLESCAPE

I have mentioned before that I am not personally a fan of holiday-specific napkins or tableware.  I am not a huge fan of anything you can only use once a year.  I will link the tableware below.  The napkins came from World Market.  They always have great napkins for great prices. Almost everything is 20% off right now.

Right after Thanksgiving, I will be refilling this big dough bowl that I purchased from Patine with Christmas greens. You can find similar ones on Etsy here FYI the tumblers are from Target.

I have had the candlesticks for years.  I will link similar below.

This will brighten your day. Who doesn’t love Sandra? You will love her, even more, when you read this.

SERENA CRAWFORD’S NEW COTTAGE ON THE CAPE

You might recall the post I did on Serena Crawford’s homes many years ago, as well as featuring her on Agless Style here.  She has a new project a beautiful “cottage” on the Cape.  She is posting snippets of it on Instagram.  Here is a little mini reels tour that you will love!

If you love beautiful gardens and design you must follow Serena on Instagram here.  You won’t regret it!!

SUNDANCE GOODIES

I love Sundance.  To be honest, when most catalogs come in the mail I pitch them immediately.  Sundance can get me in trouble. They have some of the most interesting accessories.  Here is a couple that caught my eye this week when I received their catalog in the mail. This spiced mocha wrap literally made me ga ga.  It is $78 which is a fair price for a gorgeous scarf that can make an outfit. If you know someone who is a scarfaholic like me, and they love autumnal colors, they will love this.

SUNDANCE SPICED MOCHA WRAP

If you like a unique bag, they have some of the most interesting handbags around.  This bag really caught my eye.  Especially when I saw the price. I love both of these colors.

My friend Debra has a charming shop in the quaint Geneva, Illinois.  She does the most amazing winter containers.  I am super excited that she will be joining us for our Christmas tour inspired by Nature on December 3.  I think you will love our tour. It isn’t going to be your typical Christmas tour.

Since my kids are home I am going to ask them each to create a gift guide of their favorites that I will be posting throughout the week. I created a gift guide of my daughter in laws favorite kitchen tools here.  If you aren’t interested you don’t need to click.  It’s that easy! Now pop over and visit Annie and Mary Ann for their favorites this week. Thanks for reading Sunday Fab Five-fall table, Serena Crawford and SGGeneva

Love Sandra. She’s a darling. Have recently started following Serena too. Her taste is impeccable. I am also not a fan of items that can only be used once a year, although I have been gifted a few items that can only be used for Christmas. Have already started pulling out some Christmas decorations this year. I think we all need something to cheer us up.

      Hi Loree
I agree with the early X-mas decorating, it is cheering and therapeutic. How are things in Malta?

      Hi Mimi

Sandra’s videos are extremely helpful if you are “of a certain age” like moi! She also is full of fun. I always say I want to be Sandra when I grow up!

Oh, Cindy how kind of you. Thank you so much for featuring me and my husband and how we met!!! Thank you!!! Now, I must have missed last week because there are so many kitchen tools I need. I need that instant thermometer, new kitchen mitts, that lemon juicer. What fun kitchen stuff to buy! Looking forward to it. Always love your Fab Five!!! Thanks again.

Ha! I did not think about it being a hint. Can’t believe I will soon be closer to 70 than 60. How did that happen?!!

  8. Diane O'Connor says

I totally agree with your daughter in law about the cutting boards. I got two of them this fall and love them and especially since they can go in the dishwasher! Great ideas!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Diane

My daughter in law is an amazing cook, so anything she recommends I know it’s good. I have them as well and love the fact they can go in the dishwasher as well!
