How to Get your Garden Ready for Spring and More
Today I am joining my pals Mary Ann and Annie for our Sunday favorites. This week I am sharing How to Get your Garden Ready for Spring and More. We are enjoying time with lifelong friends this week.
Lifelong Friends
My lifelong friend Cheryl and her husband Rod are visiting this week from Florida. Cheryl and I grew up next door together in our hometown of Monticello, Indiana. My post this week will be brief as we want to enjoy as much time as we can this week with our dear friends.

Saturday we visited Hearst Castle and viewed the elephant seals at Piedras Blancas.
Outfit of the Week

The sweater I am wearing above is from Nordstrom but sold out, this one is similar. I purchased this Rag and Bone jacket on eBay last year. You can find several on Poshmark here, and several on eBay here. All other items are linked below. The jacket is a great jacket to toss on while sight seeing. My bag is from FEED (I wish they would bring it back).

Food and Wine’s Most Popular Soup Ever
I would never have guessed that Food and Wine’s Posole Verde would be their most popular soup ever, would you? I am making it this week.

Thanks for reading how to get your garden ready for Spring and more. Have a wonderful Sunday.I will be back on Tuesday with this month’s Ageless Style interview with a fabulous Mother and Daughter duo. Now let’s pop over and visit Mary Ann and Annie for more fun.

Do you have a link for the green scarf in the Outfit of the Day?
Hi Nancy
My scarf is quite old originally from Tancredi & Morgen in Carmel Valley. I have linked a similar one in the widget.
Great that you got to spend time with Cheryl & Rod!
Hi Cindy,
This is just a FYI. I left you a message responding to this post and it did post but disappeared again! Shucks. I’m sending this again in hope that it sticks.
Love that you both have been forever friends, this is called “keeping the connection.” Maybe in your spare time you can write a book about Friendship and how to keep the connection.
Hugs
Hi Cindy,
Enjoy your childhood friends. How wonderful that you have kept the connection.
We just were at Piedras Blanca’s today viewing the elephant seals! It’s amazing, had no idea how many there are. So interesting!
Cindy,
Have a wonderful time catching up and showing Cheryl and Rod around!
Please tell her hello for me. It was great to see your picture together!

Hi Cindy! Enjoy your friends! I’m sure they are loving exploring your beautiful area!
Can’t wait to see your mother daughter fashion post this week…I think I might know who!
Xx
Cindy, I feel like you just shopped my closet! I wear that combo easily, although from different sources. Funny about the similarities. Obviously, another reason I find your blog so much fun!
Have a great visit. A friend and I from my early 20’s , while living in Toronto for a year , have kept up the decades long conversations, Lenka moving to Argentina and eventually to Texas.
It was so wonderful that she and her guy came all the way up here on Vancouver Island from Austin TX to visit a couple of years ago. Yes, we both looked older, but we were still very much the same women.
Have a wonderful visit with your friends!
This week’s plans include gardening in the rain and now . . . planning to make your soup for when I come in from the cold! 😆😘 Always thank you for your kindness and inspo, Cindy!
Hi Lynne
Sounds like a wonderful week to me!! Enjoy!!
My husband is a Hoosier (grew up in Garrett near Ft. Wayne), and his late aunt lived in Monticello.
Hi Janette
So interesting to hear about your husband!
Cindy, enjoy the weekend with your friends…nothing better than having people in your life that have known you since childhood. Enjoy! Love the green sweater, but like the comments above cannot find the links. Printed out the Posole recipe too. Happy Sunday.
Hi Mary
It is so fun to have our friends here! I fixed the links so sorry…
Where is the scarf from? Didn’t see a link. Thank you.
Hi Deb
My scarf is old from Tancredi & Morgen in Carmel Valley, but I linked a couple similar ones!
Wonderful to go back so far and keep the bond going with your friend.
Going to make the soup if i can find fresh tomatillos . Looks very tasty
Can’t find the links to the green quilted bag and sea bird scarf . Love the shades of green !
Hi Jan
I am so sorry! I fixed the link. Have a great week!!
Hmmm….No links popping up at all for the outfit. Maybe just a foggy day on my computer, but if an issue on your end, wanted to let you know. Have a wonderful time with Cheryl!
Hi Beth
I fixed it so sorry!
Looks like fun with Cheryl. I pinned the soup. Looks tasty.
