Beth Webb, Outfit of the Week, Farmers Market Dinner

Happy Sunday everyone.  As you know today I am joining my pals Mary Ann and Annie for our Sunday Favorites.  Let’s take a look at my Sunday Faves, Beth Webb, Outfit of the Week, Farmers Market Dinner, and more.

BETH WEBB’S CAROLINA RETREAT

If you have been reading me long you know I am a huge fan of Beth Webb.  Her Carolina retreat in Gallerie Magazine here does not disappoint.

You can also watch the fabulous Schumacher tour on YouTube here

OUTFIT OF THE WEEK

I Love the length of the cashmere sweater from Sundance (it comes in tons of colors).  I paired it with a lightweight rain jacket (that covers the bum) from Athleta and J Crew Jeans.  I have been on the hunt for a crossbody bag that isn’t so tiny (this Madewell one fit the bill).  I added a pair of Artemi smoking slippers (yes they are pricey), and an inexpensive block print scarf from Etsy.  You can find many other pretty ones in other colors,  They are so reasonable.  I am ordering a few for fall. All items linked below the graphic.

SHOP OUTFIT OF THE WEEK

LANCOME ARTLINER PRECISION EYELINER

lancome artliner

I am such an amateur when it comes to makeup.  I really need instruction.  I have been meaning to share this foolproof eyeliner.  I line the underside of my gop lid.  It is foolproof and it comes in SMOKE!!. I find black to be too harsh at my age.  FYI If you like their products I just noticed when looking this up that they have 25% off sitewide and 30% off sitewide if you sign up.

FARMERS MARKET DINNER

Now that we live in town, if we are home on Saturday, Steve, Beau and I walk downtown and have breakfast at Portobellos and go to the Farmers Market.  We usually have a dinner that night of whatever is fresh.  Of course right now they have everything!  So for dinner I prepared this halibut recipe

GRILLED HALIBUT WITH LEMON BASIL VINIAGRETTE (EPICURIOUS)

INA GARTEN GREEN BEANS GREMOLATA

This has been my go-to recipe for green beans for years.  Sometimes I use almonds instead of pine nuts, and I often don’t use the parm.  This recipe is delicious with or without it.

INA GARTEN GREEN BEANS GREMOLATA

I added fresh corn on the cob and sliced heirloom tomatoes with balsamic vinaigrette and fresh basil.

BACK GARDEN UPDATE

If you follow me on Instagram you saw this photo of my back garden area.  I hope to post garden photos soon.  It is so hard to take photographs that do a young garden justice.  I am really happy with what is happening but it just doesn’t look that great in photos. I can’t believe the fiascos with ordering things these days.  I ordered 8 chairs from World Market, only seven came and now they are sold out.  I ordered two natural sunbrella umbrellas, one came in blue.  I am sure you know what I am speaking of if you have ordered anything lately! That’s Steve reading in the background by the way. I think I answered this but some missed it.  The fountain came from the Pot Stop in Moss Landing.Tell them I sent you if you call so they will know what you are speaking of if you are looking for a similar fountain. We picked out the pot, they made it fountain ready, and Steve installed it.  They will deliver and install for you as well.

    Cindy,
Speaking for myself, I recently lost my husband of 48 years and am in the process of downsizing. I found your post about downsizing so full of great ideas and resources. I hope you’ll continue to share your amazing touch with this charming home you have moved into.
    xo,
    Karen

Please never worry if we might be disappointed in the abode changes in your life! Your inimitable style continues to thrive. I love taking photos of any landscape changes made in my outdoor green spaces. It gives perspective, as too often we are prone to think we’ve under-planted. Mother Nature gears up and weaves its magic, so don’t fret over the current photogenic state of your gardens. The journey will be worth documenting and we will appreciate seeing the transformation unfold. Love all the glimpses and look forward to more, Cindy!

      Hi Ginger

I called and she said she did not think the hood was detachable…good question!

I love everything you post! It’s great to see your home as many of us are down-sizing. Thank you!

Cindy, where can I purchase the turned up brim hat on your Insta about packing for Hawaii?

Please give us a post on hats, baseball caps for different statutes, ages, and face shaped! Thanks.

  7. Donna Barber says

Love your posts, so fun. When we were building our Tn. House from In. & Ga. I found French looking bar stools at Home Goods. They had two and I needed four, of course . They suggested calling other Atlanta area stores with the lot number. Lots of miles later I found 2 more. Long way of suggesting you try other World Markets. They might even have one on the floor somewhere.
    Bon chance,

      Hi Donna

Thank you so much but they don’t have any at any of the stores in California. They really bungled the whole process to be honest. They created a label when they had the eighth chair and never sent it. Meanwhile, many people bought it off the link in my post. When I checked into it they were sold out….very irritating…

  8. Nan, Odessa, DE says

Always enjoy your post! Especially about your homes, gardens, outfits, and Summer.
    Keep them coming.

  9. Nancy says

Geez, I know what you mean. We are remodeling an entire house.

I picked Aesthetic White for the whole house. I wish it were Alabaster. I don’t know SW colors, I only know Benjamin.

The roof deck over the garage was rebuilt and looked great til it rained. It has to be redone.

Beautiful black French doors were installed for this roof deck, came with white handles. Can’t seem to get the black ones.

We had a sidewalk with a few steps installed on the side of the house. It’s awful. They have torn it out twice til we just paid them for the excavation and we’ll get someone else to complete it.

Beautiful vanities and counters in 3 bathrooms, can’t get the faucets. Won’t bore anyone with the other details.

But, with all the heartbreaking things going on in our world, I feel terrible for being so annoyed.

BTW, I am also makeup challenged. Where do you put eyeliner? Did you mean upper waterline?

Your infant garden looks beautiful to me, somebody’s a good photographer!!!

  10. Mary Ann Pickett says

I am going to try your eyeliner!! I got lash extensions for the wedding…but don’t think I can keep them up 🙂 Beth Webb is so talented.

  11. Marilyn says

What do you use for the decorative gravel on the ground & what do you use for an underlayment to discourage weeds?
Any suggestions for keeping the gravel weedfree?

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      HI MARILYN

IT IS CALIFORNIA GOLD AND STEVE PUT WEED BARRIER UNDER THE GRAVEL SO WE DON’T HAVE ANY WEEDS.

  12. Judi says

Your garden is coming along very nicely.
I had asked this before but have not seen an answer. Could you share where you got the fountain.
    Thanks

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Judi

I have answered I think but I did add it to the text to be sure!! The Pot Stop in Moss Landing.
