If a garden could have a personality, Marshall Watson’s East Hampton garden would be charming, patient, and quietly amazing. Watson and his husband Paul Sparks acquired the overgrown, bramble-covered lot back in 1999 and it is now spectacular. You can view Marshall’s fabulous portfolio here. You can follow him on Instagram here. You can find his latest book Defining Elegance here

  1. Beautiful country cottage and what a garden! Soups sound great (always). Loving the beach coverup!

  2. Hi Cindy,
The Marshall Watson’s garden is incredible. It’s so pastoral, a feast for your eyes. Thanks for sharing this.
No, I’m not watching John F Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Besette a love story. That was so tragic, the Kennedy family has had way too many tragedies in their life time as a family. I think Naomi Watts is fabulous, too bad the roll does not suit her.
QUESTION: I want to go back and revisit the pants you showed with the Quince Jean jacket. I think it was a post in late January or first part of February.
    Thx

  3. Just remember, CBK made them late to leave on the fateful plane flight b/c she had pedicure polish color changed 3 times. By being late to take off, they were in a light/depth perception period at twilight that JFK Jr had not been trained for and at which he failed. And don’t forget, one of her 2 sisters was in the plane. The Bessettes lost 2 children that day, but the public only mourns the Kennedy family loss . A bit myopic!

    1. Hi Anne
I was not familiar with the whole story until now. I cannot imagine how painful losing both daughters must have been for the Bessette family. Such a tragedy

      1. @Cindy. As the wife of former fighter pilot, qualified flying instructor etc , I was interested in reading the official report of the crash involving JFK Jr. Unfortunately, a combination of arrogance and inexperience caused the crash – he had no business flying the plane at night as he was not qualified to do so. The Bessette family were awarded $15. Million after successfully suing the Kennedy family in a wrongful death law suit. Haven’t watched the biopic as the cynic in me thinks it wasn’t quite the love story people think it was.

  4. Cindy—love that maxi dress! And the home in the Hamptons! That pool is gorgeous!
    It’s still soup season here!
    Xo

  5. Hello
I didn’t see the John and Carolyn series because their death is still too new. We recall what they look like. What I did watch and thoroughly enjoy was “ JFK JR & CAROLYNS wedding the Lost Years” it is from 2019 and it has actual film footage of the couple. You may enjoy that instead of the series.

  6. I am enjoying the JFK Jr Love Story as well. The two leads are perfect but poor Naomi Watts is not a good pick for Jackie! Natalie Portman or Katie Holmes could have pulled this off. I’m a fan of Naomi, just not in this. Such an elegant couple with such a tragic ending.
We never tire of the Kennedys, do we?

    1. Hi Becky
I am a big fan of Naomi as well but this role does not suit her!
