Monday Fall Fun Stuff

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  We didn’t do anything exciting but the weather was lovely here.  The nights are cooler but the days are still in the 70’s.  Today I am all over the map with Monday Fall Fun stuff, enjoy.

My daughter posted this picture of little Summer at the Pumpkin Patch over the weekend.  My husband and I drive up every other Thursday and babysit for her.  We love every minute we spend with her.

I am on the lookout for a new mascara.  Have any of you tried any of these?  I have tried  #3 and #1.

I posted this image of the vineyards across from my home on Instagram.  Are you following me @cindyhattersley Instagram? If not I would love for you to.

Mary Ann did a post last week on her 15 fall favorites from Trader Joe’s.  There were a couple I haven’t tried. How about you? Any of your favorites on her list? Both Mary Ann and Leslie from Gwen Moss penned interesting posts about “keeping it real” when it comes to blogging, pinterest and Instagram. Don’t for an instant think that any photo of my home or garden doesn’t have a messy spot lurking close by. And those fashion photos? I am going to be 65 in a couple months.  It takes about ten pics to get one good one!

Kim from Savvy Southern Style did a fall post on her entryway I love how she filled this bowl with giant sunflower heads.  Isn’t this clever?

I love Sherry Harts This and That posts.  I don’t know anyone that can style a space better than Sherry.

Are you a baker?  I am not.  I love to cook.  If I were I would try Celia from After Orange County’s Peach Pie.  Celia is an amazing cook and I know any recipe she posts will be a winner.  I have tried several (none that involve baking)

Do you follow Jeanne Henriques@tahilla_farm  on Instagram? She has a gorgeous home in New Hampshire and takes the most beautiful photographs.  Isn’t this image captivating?

Michelle from Hello Lovely has a beautiful post up on Michael del Piero.  It has me begging for more!

Greet from Belgian Pearls created this beautiful fall tablescape.  Isn’t it gorgeous?

And last but not least. Many of you were so taken with my Ageless Style Post on the darling Sarah Foster.  Many of you know that Sarah had been once again struggling with cancer.  She is one of the most positive inspirational faces on Instagram. Sarah has finished chemo and is healthy and happy. Stop by @countrystyleandlife and give her a shout out!

That’s it for my Monday Fall Fun Stuff.  What do you have planned for the week? Have a great one!

I love that spatchcock chicken, I put one in the freezer every time I go. Just the right amount of food for two!

OHHH how I love a good peach pie. Thank you for posting this. We are waiting for cooler weather here in New Smyrna Beach, however, I am making a peach pie this week!!

    Thank you .

      Hi Terry!
I have been channeling you lately. I bought a pair of fun jeans like your embroidered ones, although yours are more fun. Could you share what brand they are? Have a great day!

      • Cindy Hattersley says

Arrrrgh underware! Isn’t it ridiculous how expensive it is? And no fun to spend money on!!

  3. Kelley says

Thank you for sharing all of this good stuff! I never seem to be able to catch up on anything these days so it’s nice to have you put it all in one place for me ;))
Your house and view are lovely as per usual….hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather in the valley

You never disappoint! Love finding your blog posts in my mailbox in the EARLY morning ( Unfortunately I wake anywhere from 3-4 AM every day). Mascara: I have used L’Oréal Butterfly mascara for over a year now and am still happy with the product. My eyelashes have a natural curl so that was not an issue for me, but it did satisfy my desire for a product that didn’t clump or flake!! Love your recommendations of other bloggers and that peach pie looks yummy (although I am in your boat with not liking to bake). Lastly….. Granddaughter photos always brings a smile…she is a cutie😍

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Linda!
Thank you so much and I am on the lookout for a new mascara. I am going to try the L’oreal. I detest that clumping and caking!

  5. Cheryl P says

Darling Summer! How lucky you are to spend time with her weekly. I, too, am a grandmother, already turned 65 this year…hey, it ain’t so bad! Anyway, I do like the Voluminous mascara, but my fav at this time is the one from Thrive. It is a bit pricey, but unlike the Voluminous or others I have tried, doesn’t come off during the day under the eyes, and it is easy to remove at night. I highly recommend it. Have a great week!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Cheryl
Thrive, I will try it! I am getting very close to joining your club! One thing great about turning 65 Medicare! Yippee!

  6. Jane says

Your posts are always chock full of info and inspiration. That darling little girl must be a treat to visit indeed!

Your mascara collection is interesting. I look more for volume as I have the length. I recently discovered Eyeko through Birchbox and it’s amazing. Never thought trying sample would make sun an impact on my choices. I also love Voluminous and Lash Paradise. For me it’s the size of the bristles on the brush and how much product they pick up from the tube.

I’m off to visit some of your links. I’ve followed Leslie and Mary Ann for quire some time, so I have to pop over.

    Thanks, Cindy!😘

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Jane
Intersting what you said about the size of the bristles on the brush. I am going to do a follow-up post on mascara. You guys have some great ideas!

Jeannes home and farm are fabulous and that photo of the deer is magical.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Elizabeth
Isn’t that photo magical? Here place is just enchanting, isn’t it? What deliciousness have you been baking up?

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Elizabeth
How many years have you been blogging. I feel like you have been around as long as me. You constantly inspire me with your baking expertise.

  8. michele@hellolovelystudio says

Hi Cindy – thanks for the shoutout! I’m clicking a few of those links to learn more, and clearly we are kindred spirits with mutual design interests. Your precious Summer is darling, and I can’t wait for those days ahead! BTW, I’m sick with some flu thing after almost fully recovering from all that chronic GI stuff. I even gained all my weight back (yay!). Peace to you.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Michelle
Hope you are feeling better. Yikes you have had a time of it! Loved that post and know I know Michael is a she!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Michelle
Of course! Thanks you for the kind comments on little Summer. You will love being a grandma when the time comes!

  9. Holly Boyle says

Oh my goodness! The only “new to me” site was that adorable Sarah at the end. I am now following her cheerfully colorful IG posts. Thanks for sharing a picture of Summer – she is adorable, just like her grandmother.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Holly
You are a peach! Thanks for following Sarah. She is a delight isn’t she? And thanks for the sweet comment about Summer. We love her dearly.
