Hi Everyone! Welcome to our Sunday favorites. Annie, Mary Ann, and I (every Sunday) share things that caught our eye in the previous week. We just got back from Hawaii so I have coastal everything on my mind. Let’s take a look at Coastal Decor, Fashion, and Food that you Will Love.
A BEAUTIFUL SOUTH AFRICAN PORTFOLIO-Coastal Decor
I stumbled on the work of the South African design firm La Grange. This outdoor space has always intrigued me. I love the mix of textures with the white walls.
This outdoor space also ticks all my boxes, plenty of texture, not matchy-matchy furniture, and a pretty palette that creates a lovely collected look.
Love everything about this vignette, something old something new, and lots of interest.
This space is so peaceful and restful. Even though I personally could never have a room devoid of color, this room is fabulous.
OUTFIT OF THE WEEK-Coastal Fashion
In keeping with the coastal vibe, this week’s outfit of the week is easy breezy. I wore a CP shades dress similar to this in Hawaii. It was so cool and comfortable. The hat is pricey from Helen Kaminski, but if you want to invest in a fabulous wide brim hat that doesn’t flop this one is your friend. The brim is wired. I have five or six of her hats (some were handed down to me) and not one of them shows any wear. I carried this one to Hawaii in my purse and it popped right back into shape. I tried on these Olukai Sandals in Hawaii and loved them. All of the accessories are inexpensive from Etsy. FYI Etsy has a hat similar to this here that is much less expensive. This one from Gap also has the same look. All items are linked below the graphic.

AARP EIGHT BEHAVIORS THAT CAN ACCELERATE THE AGING PROCESS OF YOUR SKIN
I don’t know if you have joined AARP. I did, and I am so glad. They have so many wonderful articles from such great contributors. The post Eight Behaviors that can Accelerate the Aging Process of your Skin caught my eye this week.
RED’S FAVORITE SPICY POKE BOWL FROM HALF BAKED HARVEST-Coastal Food
From the minute we set foot in Hawaii until we left we ate nothing but fish. I don’t think we had a single bad meal. We ate poke every chance we had for dinner, lunch, and even breakfast once. Half Baked Harvest rarely misses. I am going to try Red’s Favorite Spicy Poke Bowl when we move. We have a great seafood market (and restaurant) minutes from our house (Pier 46).
FUN SALES THIS WEEK
J JILL 25% FULL-PRICED PANTS, SKIRTS, AND ACCESSORIES
If you don’t mind the price (it is on sale), I tried on this kimono at the Carmel store. It is more beautiful in person than it is on the website, and it is reversible, so you are getting two for one. I think it would be fabulous with a pair of jeans or linen pants. It is just beautiful in person.
I love this shirt and this tunic in practically every one of the colors. And they have great reviews.

Well, that is it for my Sunday favorites. I hope you enjoyed Coastal Decor, Fashion, and Food that you will Love. Now let’s pop over and visit Mary Ann and Annie for their favorites. They always have fun finds. If you missed any of my Sunday Fab Five that you would like to catch up on, you can find them here.
Cindy,
I love the patio furnishings above. I love this time of year. I’m looking forward to seeing the outdoor space in your new home.
Great tips on sales. Thank you.

Loved the post and hope your trip was wonderful! Coastal decor is always interesting to me!
Took a tour through the La Grange website … heaven! Lots of Pinning. Love your OOTW. This sandals … amazing. Interesting article about skin … wish I’d protected my skin when I was younger. Better late than never though, right? I once fell victim to over exfoliating. Too much of a good thing is too much of a good thing. Now I’m more gentle on my skin and I think it looks better. AARP is a great source of healthy living info. Have a great week! xo
Love that style of Coastal decor , especially shown in pic. 1 and 2, no, actually all. Have my H.Keminsky already for more than 20 yrs and this hat protected my hair and face wherever I was travelling. So practical because you can fold it up. The recipe von Mrs. Tiegan was not only for the eye. I do it similar least once a week and it is so healthy and tasty. it is the it-foodnot only for the healthy conscious and I am so glad you led to their web site where I could find many other yummy food suggestions. But what Dr.Ploch says is nothing new and if you don’t start in your early years I don’t believe that you can repair skin damage later even with the best remedies.
SO glad you had fun in Hawaii Cindy. I am always inspired when I return too. That South African home is lovely. I find they have so many brilliant people down there and the homes are so open, bright and natural. This home totally looks like you and though they had white walls, they had color in the objects and pillows, which I love. Great outfit look. The Ola kai sandals are pretty and comfy..The nice hat is worth the investment! xo Kim
Hi Kim
I love South African design too. Olukai’s are hard to beat aren’t they?
Cindy, I love the outfit of the week. Linen is classic, and stylish. As I mentioned above, TJMaxx and Marshalls have lots of linen lately and it is beautiful!
The poke bowl looks delicious but I do not eat anything that lives in water, never have.
I love the lantern on the wall of the room that you featured, so beautiful and a wonderful look to try to replicate.
I hope that you are settling in at the new house!
Hi Elizabeth
Great tip about TJ Maxx We do not have one locally here, but we do have one in Paso.
Hi Cindy,
So many things to enjoy here! I need to check my closet first, before I order that linen dress.
I love poke, yum I need to make some soon.
Enjoy your weekend,
Happy May Day!
Hi Heidi
I think you will love tha poke recipe!
Wow! That outdoor space with the lanterns and pendants…gorgeous! Love your outfit of the week too! And that Poke, omg, Brent is making that ASAP!
Love the shirtdress and such a good price point. Funny how flip flops cost more than a linen dress! Remember those day-glow $1.00 flip flops from the five and dime? Ha! Pinned the poke recipe. The Hubs loves poke. Me, not so much. So I will go meatless and I bet it is just as good. Have a great week!
I ordered some of the horn jewelry when it was featured in the past. I hate to say I had a problem with this company. They sent the wrong color and some of the little circles and hook for the necklace were easily broken. Actually the hook was made so that you couldn’t get it hooked! I was told they would fix it when I ordered again but wouldn’t fix any of their mistakes. I’m a little concerned about ordering from them again.
Not sure if it was the same company but I want to make mention of my experience. The horn came unpolished and looks and feels rough enough so that I don’t want it against any clothing in case of snags. It’s also kind of creepy to me in this raw state and I haven’t worn it. The craftsman ship is fine. Just be aware that there are apparently 2 finishes, also it’s a very large piece!
Hi Wren
Some of that Vietnamese horn jewelry can be problematic. I have had the same experience myself on occasion. It is so inexpensive, I tend to take it in stride. I have purchased high-end items that have also been problematic, but I love the look. Wren is right about the rough finish. Do not get it. Some are rougher than others. Read the fine print, don’t spend a lot, and cross your fingers.
Cindy,
Wonderful suggestions. I especially am drooling over the jewelry. Thankful that I have you on my radar for style finds that match my style perfectly.

You outfits of the week are the best! I could use more linen! There is a huge fish market here that sells great poke so I will make that dish!
I am jealous of your fish market Mary Ann! You are definitely going to need linen. We both are!
TJMAXX and Marshalls have lots of linen and the shirts and dresses are fabulous! I love the quality of the pieces form Italy and the prices.
