Green Row: Chic, Sustainable Style for a Curated Collected Look

Today marks the start of a new series exploring the top online sources for curating a timeless collected look.I was thinking the other day that the foundation of a collected home is patience. To curate a collected look you need to gather furniture, art, and objects from different places and eras, in order to give your space depth, character and history. If you want an instant home this is not the look for you. If you are tired of the cookie cutter look in home decor that has been popular for years now you will be pleasantly surprised that “the collected look” is back in style! This is the first in a series I am creating about great online sources for a collected look. Today let’s chat about Green Row: Chic, Sustainable Style for a Curated Collected Look.

Green Row: Chic, Sustainable Style for a Curated Collected Look

This is not a sponsored post. I have been wanting to feature Green Row for some time. Green Row is the online brand developed by Williams-Sonoma. It was launched as a ” fresh, sustainability-focused counterpart” to its sister labels Pottery Barn and West Elm. Green Row is a refreshing change in the often predictable world of online home décor They offer furniture and home decor with a more character filled collected look. Even better, they use responsibly sourced materials and recycled textiles in low-impact facilities. How great is that?

Layered Living Rooms

For the living room, they have charming sofas, pillows and these clever and stylish sofa toppers (if your dog likes the sofa), wonderful coffee & accent tables , and great decor items to spruce up your coffee table style.

I am loving the combination of stripes and the lovely narcissus pattern. I would love to use this combination in Summer’s bedroom which I have never really finished!

Artful Dining Rooms & Accessories

Green Row has interesting dining tables and chairs, wonderful tableware, and more.

These chairs are wonderful and available in a variety of fabrics. I am thinking about ordering one for my little desk in my living room. I would probably have to scuff them up a little bit for my home, but they are lovely as they are.

Storied Bedrooms

They have wonderful quilts and duvets, pretty sheet sets, fun coverlets and throws, lamps & shades and much more.

Green Row Childs Bedroom

I love the juxtaposition of the striped duvet with the whimsical wallpaper.

Curated Baths

Their collection of bath essentials is the most interesting I have found outside of Etsy.

If you are looking for some interesting additions to your own collected home, you might want to check out Green Row. Their tagline is “lasting design, layered spaces, inspiration for every room”. I have to agree their collection is layered, personal and full of character which is right up my alley. I hope you enjoyed Green Row: Chic, Sustainable Style for a Curated Collected Look. I am super excited that there are more and more online retailers ditching the matchy-matchy look for items with a more timeless collected look. I am anxious to hear what you think.

Editors Note: I try to post regularly on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 6:00 am PST. I am trying to have more of a life so I hope you don’t mind when I occasionally post on Wednesday and Friday, and not always on time!!

I find great chairs online but hesitate to order, having not sat in them!
PS – Wednesday and Friday is fine! I am just now getting around to reading last Friday’s – we were down at the river with friends. ❤️

Thank you so much for your kind words. I am excited too! So tired of the status quo!

    1. Hi Cheryl

I hadn’t either until I found those sofa toppers!! Scout doesn’t get on our indoor sofa but he does the outdoor one! Unfortunately they would not fit that one!

  4. So many new and interesting items! I’ve already spotted a few things I’ll order. The only disappointment was they show beautiful wallpapers, but they don’t carry them. Do you, or any of your readers, know what company supplies them?

  5. Thanks so much Cindy! This is a new addition to the stores I love! Have to have a look at everything now!!!♥️

    1. Hi Jane

Isn’t it refreshing to see an online option with creative collected items?

  6. I’m excited to read this. I think is it hard to find ideas on line and I’m disappointed
in magazines these days. You have many great looks in past posts.
I did find a YouTube feature of Tamsin Saunders home in the UK, I probably have watched it five times so far.
Have not heard of Green Row, good to look now.

    1. Hi Cindy

I was pleasantly surprised to see Country Living featuring so many lovely homes. I subscribed! GreenRow has some fun items.

  7. Oh my goodness Cindy, how your post brighten my day!!! Even the ones that don’t apply to me directly in a one way or the other. They always encourage me to look at things a little differently, keep my mind open and don’t throw everything away- I might just figure out a new use for them somewhere down the line. Green Row is obviously another source of inspiration! Thanks!

    1. Hi Nancy

I am so happy that many of you like GreenRow. I am on the hunt constantly for non cookie cutter home decor!

  8. So enjoy your posts!! How my decorating changed when we retired in SW Florida! No more draperies just gorgeous Plantation shutters over hurricane proof windows/sliding glass doors (which are also provide quiet and great protection). Brought a few pieces from up north which blend beautifully! Must say miss having my gardens yet so much else keeps me busy…bookclubs (reading more than ever), sports (playing golf for the first time in over 25 years), pickleball. Have met so many wonderful people which truly helped with such a huge move. Clothing has totally changed…virtually live in shorts, sandals, etc! It is hot or warm here year round. As you experienced on your visit to Florida, it is hot and humid!!
thank you for all your great ideas!! 🙂

    1. Hi Jannie

I have so many friends who love living in Florida, including Mary Ann. We love visiting!

  9. I love your decor posts and am a Green Row fan! One of my favorites is the sofa topper pillow for our mini goldendoodle to nap on (she’s a full-access doodle). I always enjoy reading the comments from this community of thoughtful women, too. Thank you, Cindy!

    1. Hi Lisa

Yes!! That topper is what drew me in as well. Shockingly Scout has no interest in the inside sofa, but sure loves the outdoor one near the pool (It is low and deep) just perfect for his large physique. I wish they carried one that would fit it!!

  10. I orderd several decor items from Greerow and was more than pleased. It did take a few months to arrive, but was worth the wait.

    1. Hi Diane

I am so glad you like GreenRow. As I said I have no connection to them, I am just intrigued by what they offer.

  11. Cindy,
I love everything about Green Row!! Great new interesting items in all categories !!!
Will be looking forward to following them!
    Thanks for the introduction!
    Have a great weekend!

  12. Thank you for introducing me to Green Row! I have ignored Pottery Barn etc because I think that’s where the trend to basic/beige started. Because whatever people ordered would “go together “. I once subscribed to a home decor magazine that I loved…….but it eventually started to feature homes/rooms that looked alike: tasteful but characterless. Those became the majority of the features. I felt that with homes with a great view, say an ocean view, I could see why beige upholstery, pale color accents for pillows and lamps, and light colored woods prevailed because the highlight would be the views. But a townhouse in Chicago? Why all the beige or grey? Our house, circa 1916 Tudor style and 4000 sq feet has a lot more color than has been in style for the past 20 or so years. I call the decor style “world tour”.

  13. Cindy, did you just step into my little home! It’s as if someone ( Green Row ) understands my very personal style. In my small living room there is a buttoned toasty brown leather wing chair and ottoman , once my Dad’s ( showing wearing on the arms from his warm hands) ,an oak bible box from 1650’s England on a table base with those spindle legs shown. I have a couple of chairs … a small French arm chair covered in soft gold damask and a rattan with cushions for comfort, along with a mid sized sofa filled with toss cushions in a neutral cream from Pottery Barn. The rug is an Indian copy bought on sale that sets the soft colour palate of cranberry, buttery gold, sage and pale green . I have a collection of English oak furniture crafted in Lancashire that my Mum collected …a small liquor cabinet, corner curio , welsh dresser showing off a Portmerion collection of dishes, a console table and bookcase …all with carving details . I had to let go of some other small tables and chairs , almost identical to those shown , when I downsized last September. More modern but still appropriate are two end tables …one metal with antiqued glass and other a wood reproduction with pedestal leg . My cushions and a throw of Belgian tapestry material were sewn by my talented fabric fellow ( when I worked in design) using these soft colours , and added to from my travels (tree of life from British Museum and a darker reverse version from Bruges and my brilliant friend’s studio on a local island here). A storage coffee table holds more cushion covers (!) and throws for a seasonal switch come fall. Paintings are a collected mix of many decades, and include English landscapes , a prized sampler done by an 8 year old ancestor, and collected pieces from trips to Amsterdam and Paris. It’s so easy to fit a small painting , print or cushion cover into a suitcase! It’s all a cosy mix of memories for me which work so well together. Imagine my surprise seeing your blog this morning! Green Row will be a welcome change to the furniture scene.

  14. Unfortunately, most homes on Instagram look alike with their modern, must have pieces. I prefer a home that has a bit of history (an antique) and a touch of whimsy. All my rooms have at least one antique piece that adds interest to my spaces and all have art that is not massed produced. In addition to my watercolours, I’ve added other art that piqued my interest. Green Row is filling a niche that has been missing in the market, other than antique markets & estate sales. This makes it easier to buy those big pieces, especially upholstered ones.
You enjoy life and post when you can. We’ll be here waiting to see if one dropped in our inbox.

    1. Lovely items. However, I would strictly be buying dupes of them, as my pockets are not deep enough for Green Row prices!

      1. Hi Brenlara

I totally understand. Hopefully you can find inspiration to mimick!
