I have to admit I cheated a bit on this guide it should say “Gaby approved” as well. I included a leopard vest, sweatshirt, and leggings from J Crew. Summe only likes “cozy clothes” meaning they have to be soft. J Crew has darling well-made clothes for kids but they are normally a little on the pricey side. Right now for Cyber Week, everything is 40% off. The See Kai Run sneaks are comfy and well made. Summer does not like to wear shoes, so Ugh boots are a good option. My kids had Hannah Anderson PJs that they wore for years. Jenna says they are still the best. They too are 40% off so more affordable now. If your grandchild loves Where’s Waldo she will love trying to find herself (in this personalized book you can buy on Amazon)and she is sure to enjoy the Gruffalo.

SHOP SUMMER’S GIFT GUIDE FOR FOUR-YEAR-OLDS

Rounding out Summer’s picks. She loves playing waitress and cooking. She always wants to wear an apron while cooking so the monogrammed one would be a good option. Melissa and Doug’s Ice cream-making kit is on her list. She has a pet vet and loves it. For Where’s Waldo fans the book Where are you personalizes the hunt. You can have the book personalized with their name and icon (so fun). I have it ordered. Zingo sounds like a good beginner game. I have that in my cart. Finally, many kids now go from a scooter to a strider bike and skip the training wheels. Summer loves her scooter but did not cozy up to the strider. We are going to get her the Tokyo bike with training wheels.

Another great idea for a grandparent or favorite aunt and uncle is a monthly craft box selection. These would be definitely Summer approved.

This Celery Root and Mushroom Lasagne from Food and Wine sounds positively decadent. I can’t wait to try it.
