COTTONWOOD AND COMPANY EASTER TABLE & BRUNCH

Since my dining room table is covered with napkins and packing stuff I won’t be styling a pretty table for Easter.  This one popped into my mailbox from the very talented Cottonwood and Co. with a lovely brunch dish included. It’s void of bunnies and chicks if you are on bunnie and chick overload!

QUICK APPETIZER PLATTER WITH INGREDIENTS FROM AMAZON

Our kids are here with Little Summer to help us purge and pack.  The meals are pretty simple.  I threw together this appetizer plate with ingredients from the grocery.  As long as you have a pretty platter and some fun knives it is easy.  You can find everything on Amazon linked below!

CUTE GRANDDAUGHTER DRESSES FOR EVERY BUDGET

I am skipping the outfit of the week today since we are doing a Spring fashion post on Thursday. Summer really enjoys the comfort of dresses once the weather warms up.  The darling Mer St Barth dresses that I featured last year are on sale here at Maisonette in limited sizing available.

    Hi Cindy,
Thank you for such great leads. I love the site with the girl’s dresses. My 6-year-old granddaughter would look sweet in any of these dresses. Good luck with your move. It will be exciting.

Such adorable grand-daughter dresses! I don’t envy you the process of packing … moving is a lot of work. Especially two houses … twice the ‘fun.’ Looking forward to seeing where you land. And, looking forward to the upcoming fashion post too! xo

Cindy, I am hoping that since you are packing things are going in a good direction. I love your guest post! And someday when you are not so busy I would love to have you do a guest post for me! The little girls dresses are adorable and the easter table beautiful!
    Have a wonderful week!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Elizabeth
I think that table is wonderful as well and the dresses to die for!! Thanks pal!!

Getting ready to move is not an easy task. So overwhelming! Terrific that your family is right there to help out. Many hands make light work. Be thankful…and enjoy even these special times.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Sue

We sure appreciated our family’s help as well. They helped us and now we are babysitting Summer! I think we got the good end of the deal!

  6. wren says

You are really the hostess with the mostess if you are able to put together a beautiful appetizer dish like this in the middle of packing. I would be ordering take-out!
I’m a little bit sad that I won’t ever have a granddaughter to dress in cute clothes. I have 2 little grandsons who don’t care about such things. I did get to experience it with my daughter when she was little. She was such a girly girl and would only wear dresses until we moved into a new home with no landscaping, only dirt when she was 5. I said “you WILL wear pants” to go outside to play!
I will enjoy shopping for Summer vicariously through you. Enjoy your family time.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

Okay Wren…what I didn’t say was that the main course was take out pizza that our kids picked up! And the appetizer looked pretty because it came out of jars! It’s all about the presentation, right? I do feel very lucky that we have Summer she probably will be our one and only. Summer’s mom was a tomboy as well and was a challenge to dress “girly” hated pink, purple and dolls!!

  7. Gail says

Wish I had a little grand daughter or a friends with girls, those dresses are adorable! Your appetizer platter is beautiful and so easy. Going to pin it for sure. I love Cottonwood Company but if I buy one more dish I’ll have to move to a warehouse!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Gail

I understand the dish disease! I need to contact replacements before we move. I have a couple of sets I never use! For sure now that we are downsizing I will not either!!

  8. Sus Hij says

Aww, I love the little girl dresses. My granddaughter just turned a year
But they will not let her wear dresses or anything that looks girly.
It’s upsetting to me. I bought her clothes which were promptly returned in favor of things that look like she’s going to work in the yard or like a tart.
My friends said to just give it up.
    So pretty though
    Thanks

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Sus

That little girl will get a mind of her own and you will be able to buy her dresses just wait! Summer’s mother was a tomboy, and preferred pants, and Summer likes dresses!

    • Heidi says

      Hi Cindy,
I read your guest post and I have to say I agree with everything you wrote!
Having an home that you can live in comfortably, easily take care of, and enjoy all the spaces are definitely priorities for me!
Will we ever be able to travel again? I’m waiting for my passport renewal, it’s taken over 6 weeks now. In the meantime I just dream about places where I’d like to visit and spend time. I hope the pandemic is better under control in Europe soon.
Such cute little dresses for Summer! I would love to someday spoil a grandchild!
Pace yourself with the packing and purging. You’ll be relieved when it’s all done and you can relax!
      XO Heidi

      • Cindy Hattersley says

        Hi Heidi

Thank you so much for reading the post. I have heard passports are taking forever! Mine is about due to expire as well!

  9. Ethel Williams says

Always good to hear you are sharing time with your Grand daughter again. I think that was what I missed the most during lockdown. My beautiful Grand daughter is now 16 and prefers a much darker style. She is still the same sweet and I know she will one day want dresses again.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Ethel

Congrats for getting to spend time with your granddaughter. My daughter was a stinker at that age…thankfully they grow up!!
