ANNA SPIRO LOVE
Anna Spiro’s designs always make me smile. I devoted an entire post to her here. I love her unabashed use of color and pattern in her work. I would never have the guts to go as far as she does but I absolutely love what she does. You can see all of her projects here, and you can follow her on Instagram here.
She has a new home collection with Anthropologie filled with happy eclectic items for the home. I want to order these sheets for Summer’s room.

OUTFIT OF THE WEEK
Big love to J Crew and Johnny Was in this week’s outfit of the week. I have had my eye on the Johnny Was Quilted Jacket. It will be a great transition into fall. I am gaga over the J Crew earrings at a great price. Fun loafers and gorgeous tote also from J Crew. How about a little Essie pink nail enamel love and some pretty Burberry Sunnies? Oh and of course mine and my reader’s favorite linen shirt (on sale). I am loving the jeans and am ordering a pair.
SUMMER LOVE
We have thoroughly enjoyed our time with Summer. We will miss her!! Summer and grandpa baking mommy’s birthday cake.

I have become a bit obsessed with documentaries. I honestly did not know much about Val Kilmer but found this documentary fascinating., narrated by his son.

Steve sure enjoys Summer!
A fun, informative read as usual.. your blog never disappoints! The photos if Summer are so sweet.. especially the one with Grandpa😍. Was mesmerized by the Val Kilmer documentary. I found him to be an intelligent, talented and passionate actor who has suffered great loss at an early age and had his career taken away through cancer. His son did a wonderful job of lending his voice to a father who bravely continues his journey in good times and bad.

I should have said that outfit was a gift to those that love pink. I love that jacket, but I would probably not wear it with the pink, you know me too well.
That salad looks like a recipe keeper. I would be interested in ordering the jeans from J Crew but on-line purchases of jeans is too much of a crap shoot. I have learned that JCrew runs large and in tops I go at least one size smaller. I end up returning too much stuff and don’t like doing that. Wish they still had a Carmel store. Where is closest now??

I wish they still had a Carmel store as well. I think it is so hard for stores that aren’t catered to “us old ladies” to survive in Carmel. The population is older as well as most of the tourists. I think the closest is Valley Fair unfortunately.

I love your posts I have a question. We need a new sofa for our living area. My husband wants a leather one. We already have a red leather easy chair and ottoman. Can you mix leather colors? I would want a light tan with gold tones.

I would not do leather with leather. You need some fabric to warm it up and add another layer of interest.
