We haven’t talked about beauty for a while so I thought I would bring you up to date on products I am loving and hopefully you will share yours as well. Let’s take a look at Eight Beauty Products for Mature Skin You, Will Love that are new to me.
I mentioned that I signed up for the monthly Allure Beauty Box. I am not affiliated with them in any way and I am not advocating it. I signed up for the $63 for three months. I just thought it would be a good way to try some new products and report to you. I have received two so far.
Some of the products are full size and some are not. Here is what was in the first box that I received.
I still have not tried the masks. The Giorgio Armani lip gloss was not a good color for me and I need more than gloss at my age. The Cetaphil cream was a little heavy for my 67-year-old combination skin. I did love the Caudalie Quenching Serum. Also if you are considering using a retinoid and your skin is too sensitive for the prescription version (which I use), I would highly recommend the La Roche Posay Retinol B3. I had to go off my prescription retinoid creme pre-facelift and I used that to ease my wayback into my prescription medication. I also received the Sunday Riley 5 stars Retinol Eye Serum which I really like. I am not sure why it isn’t in the picture. I think I got a couple of bonus items for signing up.
Here is the second box that I received.
Once again I haven’t tried the mask. I like the brow gal pencil. and I liked the Rosewater Facial Mist from Heritage Store. The Self Esteem beauty Sleep Serum was a little bit harsh for me, I am sure this is because I do retinoid at night. If you don’t you might want to give this a try. That is my review of the Allure Beauty Box items I have received so far.
Here are a few new products that I am loving. I penned a post The Best Blush for MatureSkin and How to Apply it back in 2019 ( I need to update that). I think I tried nearly every one of these. I am currently using the Milk Lip and Cheek Cream Blush in True Red. I absolutely LOVE it. It has staying power and I adore the color. I cannot say enough about this product. My daughter also gave me the Azure Hyaluronic & Retinol Under Eye Pads in my stocking for Christmas and I highly recommend them for next morning eye puffiness. If I drink too much wine or eat too much salt they are game-changers!
I am now doing a double cleanse at night in my effort to take better care of my skin (I know I know), I really like the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Removing Balm followed by the Neutrogena Hydrating Boost Gel which I have been using for quite a while. I follow up by using the Cera Vie Facial Moisturizing Lotion mixed with my retinol at night. Most of the night creams are too heavy for my combination skin.

I have sensitive skin and my daughters got me onto Lumiere eye cream which I love
I love, love Caudalie. Their new Premier Cru Anti-Aging Serum is great. I’m using it along with theAnti-Aging cream and plan to order the new eye cream soon. I was using two of the other Caudalie serums for day/night but this seems to work better for aging skin.

THE LA ROCHE POSAY IS A REALLY GOOD PRODUCT!I USE TO WEAR THEIR FOUNTAIN WITH A SUN COVERAGE OF 50!!!!Still LOVE but its hard to find in the STATES!I would always buy a supply when we went to ITALY or a friend did!
YES DOUBLE CLEANSING IS A GAME CHANGER SAYS CAROLINE HIRONS who is ENGLISH and has a FOLLOWING of 681K…………she grew up in the business and has written a book where I learned A LOT!

Don’t you love the Milk Cream blush? – I use the Werk color – dusty rose – sometimes on top of Glossier Cloud Paint – also love that!

My kids actually get mine in Mexico for me. It is Retin-A .5%. I do use it as close to my eyes as I can get and above my lip, on neck etc. I mix it with the Cerave moisturizer so it isn’t too harsh.

Love your blog! Could you tell me the strength of your prescription retinol and how much you mix with the moisturizer? I have the script but would like to mix it with a moisturizer.

I am not very scientific with mixing. I grab a small dab pea size of the Retin A and mix with maybe double that of the moisturizer. I don’t think it matters what moisturizer or serum you use. For me it just makes it a little less irritating.

I started using CeraVe products about six months ago and am so pleased with them. They just came out with a toner that I am going to purchase soon.
I’m 63 and have been blessed with good skin, but it is very sensitive. CeraVe is wonderful!

I saw your hooded eye demonstration with Sandra…loved it…so genuine ! Tried the Milk concealer and it is wonderful. Does not crease under my 68 year old eyes

I was using the rok retinol eye cream for years. My skin isn’t particularly sensitive so I can tolerate the prescription version so far!!

I love the Naturopathica Manuka Honey cleanser….. my skin loves it more! I love using Rose Hip oil when I use my gua she tool on my neck and face. I have been using City Beauty products, night serum and day cream are excellent. and I just fell head over heels involve with Jenni Kayne Oak Essentials – the Balm is AMAZING for a really lovely smoothing effect and glow. Milk blush stick is the best, too!
