A Fabulous Outfit of the Week Every Size Will Love

Happy Sunday! You know the drill today I am joining my pals Annie and Mary Ann for our Sunday Fab Five. Today let’s take a look at a Fabulous Outfit of the Week Every Size Will Love, and much more.

OUTFIT OF THE WEEK

I worked hard on this one ladies! Let me know what you think. The results from the survey are rolling in and two things that stood out were more outfits of the week with extended sizes. First of all, run don’t walk to Banana Republic and get these Cashmere leggings for 60% off sale. They are pure heaven! I paid $69 for mine with an extra little discount I had. I think I need another pair!

I also love the pretty colors this cashmere tunic (from J Jill) comes in. Kim from Fricks Picks had a similar quilted poncho to this one last week on Instagram and I loved it. I accessorized the outfit with a felted spiderweb scarf from IBU Movement, camo birdies (editors note the birdies sold out so I replaced them with the Rothy’s which I own in leopard), black horn earrings and fun bag from Feed. If you aren’t familiar with FEED bags, The FEED Project is a partnership between the United Nations World Food Programme and Lauren Bush, with every product they sell, they provide school meals to the most vulnerable communities across the globe.

HEALTHY GREEN GODDESS SALAD

When I was growing up in the Midwest green goddess dressing/salad did not “spell” anything remotely healthy. There are a lot of new enumerations out there that sound amazing. This (green godess salad) version featured on the Today show from baked by Melissa is a good one. It has no mayo (which I am not a huge fan of).You can add almost any green vegetable you have on hand. I like adding fresh peas when in season (frozen edamame is great as well) FYI this is not one of those pretty salads when it is finished, but it is packed with tons of healthy ingredients.

Jennifer from a Well Styled Life’s post on Choosing Flattering Wardrobe Colors As You Go Gray with Colleen Abrie, CDI is really helpful if you are thinking about going gray and need color assistance.

    Cindy,
I love the greens I’ve been seeing in fashion. This outfit is wonderful and perfect for the cooler weather.
What a fun time Summer and her family seem to be having. Cousins are the best.

The OOTD is really cute, but colors are not for me. Love the shoes though.
Also, poncho/oversized tops/jackets and anything that ties at the waist; not for me either.
I like the concept though, and how it coordinates is beautiful!

I am really enjoying your site. I love your clothing style and your design style. I agree with the link type being very light. Another color, darker would work.
I am a concerned about the many ads from ChicWish that show up on my feed. I just looked them up and it seems like they are a very unreliable company and many are calling them a scam. I hope I have blocked these ads. I got caught in this once with another company and don’t want to do that again. The clothes are cute and it is very tempting. Do you have a choice as to what ads pop up?

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Ann

Unfortunately, I do not have any control over the ads other than filters for anything obscene etc. I have never purchased anything from them, but thanks for the heads up.

  7. Robin says

Thank you for featuring Leslie’s lovely kitchen!!! Amazing that she accomplished all of the design on her own, with Jim and Michael!! Love her positive attitude and mantra.

  8. Cindylou says

Great post. I too have trouble reading the light color font. A little darker would be helpful for these aging eyes.

  9. Elizabeth@pineconesandacorns says

    Cindy,

I too am one of those crazy people with my Christmas decor up, we always leave it up until at least the 6th, the feast of the Epiphany. And I leave two small trees with lights only up all winter long, it make the dark days lighter.

AS for LESLIE!!!!!! SHE IS AMAZING. Not only is she an amazing DIYer but a writer as well, she needs a book deal. She is also the kindest, most compassionate blogger and friend.

I love the look of the week. Sadly, leggings are not for me. I have had a Kim Kardashian butt and an hour glass figure my entire life and I do not think it is attractive at all in leggings. The rest of the outfit though is definitely my style.

    Have a great day!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Elizabeth

I now have even one more reason to love you! I have the same figure sadly. I have to make sure the bum is covered if I wear leggings that’s for sure!

  10. Mary Ann Pickett says

How did I miss Leslie’s kitchen?? Beautiful.
Love the outfit…I have similar shoes…need to grab the leggings.

Can’t wait to make your Green Goddess dressing, too.
    Summer is so darn cute.

  11. Holly says

Green Goddess salad to go with your outfit of the week! Both are yummy but I am simply swoony over the JJill tunic in sage… Great Sunday post!

      • NAN of TN says

Hi Cindy- I have this J JILL cashmere tunic sweater and the matching cashmere wrap in the “Pearl Blue” colorway. It is definitely lavender. Their color names can be confusing, as many of us noted in the reviews of the tunic- it is lavender, not blue. I LOVE the lavender with my newly grey hair!

        • MARY TRENHOLM says

Loved this week’s post. Georgous outfit and reasonably priced. Not all readers can afford upscale items but still want to look great. I look forward to your posts every week. Thank you.

        • Cindy Hattersley says

          Hi Nan

I so wanted that combo but the wrap was sold out before I could get my hands on it. I agree about J Jill and colors. I don’t know why they do that.

  12. Annie Diamond says

ll, as usual, I absolutely love your outfit of the week. I’m ordering those leggings asap! They sound perfect! You always find the best Cindy and put it together in the most creative, but real way. Anyone could wear this exact outfit and look and feel fabulous! And isn’t that what we all want?
    xx

        Hi Pam

I just emailed my designer. For one thing the text needs to be bigger. Do you think the highlighted text should be a different color so it is easier to read as well. Any suggestions much appreciated!

        • Pam says

That’s a great idea to enlarge the texts. The highlighted texts are sometimes blue. Also, maybe a lilac or light pink color. I will notice what other blogs are using and try to get back to you. I appreciate you addressing the issue.

          • Cindy Hattersley says

            Hi Pam

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I will want to keep the colors in line with my brand but I am on it!
