Blue and White, Mushroom Soup and More

Happy Sunday everyone.  We are deep into unpacking mode here (and I do mean deep).  I am popping in with a quick post for my Sunday Favorites with Annie and Mary Ann.  Today it is all about blue and white, mushroom soup, and more. Who doesn’t love blue and white, right?

AMANDA LINDROTH DESIGN

Our weather has been terrible here.  Foggy, drizzly, and chilly.  I came across some images of Bahama’s based designer Amanda Lindroth. You can see her entire portfolio here.

OUTFIT OF THE WEEK FARM RIO LOVE

I Just love a statement jacket and this one from Farm Rio for Anthropologie is priced right.  I know it isn’t cheap but it isn’t ridiculous either. I would wear it with a simple tee or tank like this one from Banana Republic. I don’t usually wear sleeveless but I find I can wear this kind of cut.  It draws the eye upward and away from the “bingo arms”.  I am ordering this in a few colors while it is on sale. I would keep everything else simple and let the jacket be the star.  If this bag goes on sale, I am ordering it. These white jeans from J Crew have great reviews, as well as these from J Jill.

Elizabeth from Pinecones and Acorns turned me on to Farm Rio.  Now I can’t get enough!!

LAUREN’S. MUSHROOM SOUP FROM CLOSET COOKING

We are semi-settled in our new digs (more on that later).  Hopefully, it will be much better after today.  Our son and daughter-in-law have been amazing, we could not have done this without them.  On top of helping for months, Lauren has prepared numerous delicious meals. She made this wild mushroom soup from closet cooking this week and it was amazing! It didn’t hurt pairing it with Morgan Winery’s wonderful Double L Vineyard Syrah.  Speaking of blue and white, you might enjoy the post I did on Morgan Winery’s tasting room refresh here.

PARKER KENNEDY LIVING BLUE AND WHITE TABLESCAPE

We are all aching to entertain again.  This blue and white tablescape from Parker Kennedy Living is just what the doctor ordered.

That’s it for my Sunday Favorites.  I had to get up at 4:00 a.m to finish this.  More on the move coming up. So far the 10-year-old dog and twelve-year-old cat are adapting.  I hope you enjoyed Blue and White, Mushroom Soup, and More. Have a great Sunday!  Back to unpacking.  Now pop over and visit Mary Ann and Annie for more fun.

Saw Patricia Nash basketweave handbags for $100 and under at TJ Maxx yesterday.
I was tempted. But I resisted as I have too many shoes and bags now! All were in the Cognac color.

    Hi Cindy,
Nice post this weekend, you must be really organized to get this finished with all the moving and unpacking. Glad to hear your pets are settling in, hope you are, too!
Who doesn’t love blue and white? I’m adding more and more, it’s always been my favorite color combo because you can add other colors to it so easily.
I don’t need a single thing for my closet, although that jacket is a stunner!
Have a great week Cindy. You’re almost there, it will all be okay!!
    XO Heidi

Cindy, I don’t know how you do it moving and posting.. I hope you are taking care. Moves are a huge stress. So nice your daughter-in-law is cooking for you. That mushroom soup looks delicious. I hope you will share the new digs soon.
I love all the blue- especially the top room. So funny I just got Amanda’s book today! Love the Farm Rio and even saw some pieces at Marshalls. None in my size though .The jacket is darling ! Amazing and fun post even with all you are dealing with… Please rest this week.. xo Kim

    Hi Cindy,
I have vivid memories about unpacking and getting settled in our home this last move. It takes a lot of hard work. I hope you’re taking time out for a little rest now and then. It’s great that the kids have pitched in to help.
    As always, great ideas.

Yes to blue and white. If you saw my house, you would see that I love it too. Some Mason china of my grandmother’s set me on a course of collecting at one point in my life until it was time to stop.
The soup looks delicious; your kids are keepers! : )

I sure wish Farm Rio would make tablecloths in their fabulous, colorful prints!

      HI FRANCESCA

I don’t know why but the widget did not post. I am so sorry!! It is working now! I was in such a rush to publish yesterday. We are much more settled after the weekend but we have a ways to go. Hopefully we will have a functioning kitchen after today. The tile will be grouted today and hopefully the range will go in!

Thank you so much Cindy you have such wonderful style! All the best with the kitchen 🙂
