Ten Instagrammers Who Rock the Collected Look in Black and White

Each week Mary Ann, Annie and I feature someone on Instagram who we think exemplifies the collected look. Many have asked just what is the collected look.  To me it is a blend of styles, mixing the old and new, and the gathered and found. The ability to bring disparate objects together to form a harmonious mix.  This month I am featuring ten Instagrammers who rock the collected look in black and white.

Heather Bullard is a freelance editorial prop stylist, creative director, producer, and contributing editor at Country Living.  Her collected style always makes me want to do better in my own home. Her kitchen is a lively mix of vintage and modern.

Greige Design has long been known for her neutral collected interiors. Love how she anchors the lucite table with a vintage suitcase.  If you follow her on Instagram you have the bonus of seeing her darling pup.

Dana Lynch Design is a new fav of mine. Isn’t this indoor/outdoor room just dreamy with its mix of organic, vintage and modern?

Sarah Bartholomew is often associated with pretty traditional interiors layered with color.  Here Sarah shows her black and white prowess.

Cococozy was one of the first blogs I enjoyed.  She continues to inspire with her stylish home renovations in Los Angeles.  I love the layered organic look of this living room.

Robert Brown has a knack for mixing clean lines with organic objects.  He is a personal favorite of mine.

Jill Sharp Weeks, style maker, designer, and former creative director for Ballard Designs is so creative with her designs.  I find myself studying her work for inspiration. Love this master in her Charleston home.

Daryl Carter is a master at mixing the old and new in his primarily black and white interiors. His attention to form and function always fascinates me.

Blackband Design takes a modern approach to the collected look.  Their modern spaces are always infused with lots of texture and organic elements.

I have “known” (vicariously through blogging) Nancy Powell and Bethany Brower for years.  They have two separate Instagram accounts  @powellrower_id and @bethanybrower.  They are a mother-daughter design team that can rock a black and white look or a room full of color. Love how they added some vintage and organic details to give this kitchen a collected look.
