Happy Sunday. Many of us here are either going into lockdown tonight or headed that way soon. So sorry for all of the small businesses that will suffer. Let’s try and have a little fun with my Sunday Five-House and Garden, Sundance Buys.
AMANDA BROOKS IN HOUSE AND GARDEN UK
This will get you in the Christmas Spirit
VARIATION OF COOKIE AND KATE ROASTED RED PEPPER TOMATO SOUP
When winter arrives I am all about pureed roasted vegetable soups. You can roast almost any combination of vegetables with onions and garlic, add some fresh herbs, a bit of cheese or yogurt, and vola healthy delicious soup. I made this last week. My picture was not very pretty so I am showing theirs. I substituted a 14 oz can of Muir Glen fire-roasted tomatoes for the fresh.

Sorry I’m late to your Sunday party! There are so many good things here! That Amanda Brooks Library room is the best, i shared it with my bibliophile daughter and we are both swooning over it!
How do you manage to find all the good things on the internet every week?
Soup is great on those days when I don’t know what to cook for dinner. Quick and nutritious, on rotation here in my kitchen!
Hope you have a good week. We need to get everything done before lockdown begins again!

Thanks for my daily dose of eye candy, Cindy. Those first two photos made my heart go pitter-patter. And there is no one who loves soup more than me. I sent your link to the Mister. Hopefully, he’ll get the hint. Enjoy your week.

Loved the Amanda Brooks library. So inviting, casual, well used and loved. And absolutely no book color blocking, or worse, spines turned inward. Just a lovely space to peruse the shelves and pull down and pull down a book and actually read it! I think we are in for a very rough winter. I hope your son and DIL can soon resume their bar. So much talent that is begging to be showcased.

I love Amanda Brooks’s style. Sundance is great as well. These 5 Fave posts are the best.
I am a huge fan of Amanda Brooks and love her house and shop. I hope that you are all ok after the news of another 3 week lock down, it is hard to stay positive when so many are suffering. Have a wonderful week.
Cindy Hattersley says
We actually have not locked down yet in our county, but it is coming. We are in the bay area block and our officials have not chosen to do it yet. Our kids business has been shuttered for nine months. Thank god a vaccine is on the way.

Oops, last comment included an old email address.
Oh, my, you’ve outdone yourself this week. Your Sunday posts are always great but what rabbit holes to explore with Heidi Caillier and Amanda Brooks! And then there is the Sundance Outlet which I had never explored. Funny you should be on the roasted vegetable soup route — I just made another pot of roasted butternut squash soup and next up is “creamy vegetable” which is really which is really the same recipe made with asparagus.
Thanks so much for your creativity!
Cindy Hattersley says
I do the same with asparagus as well! I use nonfat greek yogurt when cream is called for. I need to really get back on the soup and salad bandwagon #covidlbs!! I just love Sundance. They do such a good job of finding unique items you don’t see everywhere

Cindy, Oh my! What a terrific post! I just got lost in the Heidi Caillier website. How refreshing to see something other than farmhouse, with color and textures and interest! And I am still drooling over Amanda Brooks home in the UK. Now I will perhaps leave all the things I consider clutter in my home~it’s so warm and welcoming. Thank you for sharing all your fabulous tips, ideas and sales! Happy Sunday!
