Casual Outfits, a Healthy Soup and More
Today I am joining my pals Annie and Mary Ann for our Sunday faves. Let’s chat about Casual Outfits, a Healthy Soup and More, shall we?
Outfits of the Week
I am living in my jeans.

I have been coveting this butter colored Everlane jacket (on sale), I am ordering another pair of the Madewell Jeans I love them so much (25% off if you missed the 40% off). I own this cashmere sweater in green (on sale and the perfect weight). I would love it in this color as well. Love my gentle souls booties, and Bloomingdales has all their Gerard Darel Scarves on sale.

These cozy birdies aren’t on sale but sure look comfy. Love the Gerard Darel leopard scarf (on sale). Why not add a little inexpensive sparkle from Amazon?

Slow Cooker Pozole

Lauren made pozole for us to enjoy with all of our company this weekend. I failed to take a picture, but it was very similar to this Pozole from Leite’s Culinaria.
Ageist
I love the Ageist website. It is packed with healthy aging tips, interesting profiles and more.
Summer Fun
We have had such a great time with Summer the past few days. She is at such a fun age!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had 25 people Thanksgiving day and have enjoyed several days with family. Thank you for reading Casual Outfits, a Healthy Soup and More. I am off to get the house decorated. I will be back on Tuesday sharing my courtyard decked out for the season. How is your Christmas decorating progressing?
If you missed last weeks Sunday favorites, you can read it right here. Have a great Sunday! Now let’s pop over and visit Mary Ann and Annie.

Looking forward to trying the posole and Summer looks adorable, she steals the show. Always love your blog!
Hi Cheryl
We love our Summer! The posole is delicious! Lauren never disappoints
Looks like Summer likes scarves! Wonder where she got that?
Hi Becky she found it at one of our charming local shops the General Store is Paso
Glad you had wonderful Thanksgiving. My American family are here (for summer) in Australia, so my sister put on a Thanksgiving dinner for 26 people, including 7 children(aged under 9) absolute chaos, but lots of fun. Have the Christmas tree decorated, presents bought and wrapped and food ordered. Am sending hubby off to buy a generator tomorrow in case of blackouts (as threatened by our pollies) – best to be prepared. Am envious of those who enjoy a ‘white’ Christmas
Hi Susan
I love my Australian readers. Do you have any idea how many of you there are? Many!! I bet your American family is happy to enjoy the beautiful Australian Summer!!
Love the outfits – and Summer and her outfit are adorable! We had company all weekend (much, much smaller group than yours) and it felt so good to host a holiday. Leftovers were used, dogs are exhausted (ok I am too) and the tree is up. Lauren’s pozole sounds delicious. I’m receiving your posts again – thanks!
Looking forward to your holiday decor post!
I envy you wearing winter clothes. It’s so humid here at the minute that I started in an orange linen shirt with 3/4 sleeves. It’s now mid afternoon and I changed to a thin Schiaparelli-pink T-shirt. Much cooler!
I long for summer to be over (and I am a swimmer!!!) and we haven’t even started summer yet.
As to Black Friday (yes, we have it in Australia too)… avoided everything except for a wetsuit for my 6 year old grandson. I barely buy anything these days – the lifestyle doesn’t require it and it’s all landfill when all is said and done. I’m of little use to the merchandisers of this world – except for Vivaia of course.
Love Summers vibe. She is the same age as my grand and they share a similar styler thanks to Nana. I would really like to receive the book list you mentioned in your last post for Summer. I was not able to open it. Always looking for gift ideas and mostly promote reading. Thank you;
Hi Jocelyn
What is your email address I will send you the book list. One of my best friends from high school and a teacher for many years is my lifeline on books. Are you listening Janie?
Love livin’ in jeans. Add boots, fluffy sweater, nice earrings, a little blush and your day is on. Thanks for your wonderful newsletter. Hope to run into you at Deed’s.
Hi Virginia
I hope to run into you as well!!!
You and me both live in jeans! I love the looser fit of my wide leg and trouser cut petite jeans from Chicos. Comfortable is top of my list. We haven’t started decorating yet. I need to head to Home Depot for three wreaths to go around our outdoor front lights. Our tree is table size and we get it out every year. I put fairy lights on it and on our indoor wreaths that I use for my decorating needs. Love those twinkling fairy lights I got on Amazon a few years ago. Still work. You are nuts to feed 25 people for Thanksgiving! Are you resting up from that? Just wow. We had a pot roast that looks a lot like your soup as I am not fond of turkey and it was just the two of us. Watched the National Dog Show and had apple pie and ice cream for dessert. Relaxing and quiet day for us.
What a cute little hippie chick! She’s just as cut in person! I had to look up Deed’s, not knowing of it and although I don’t need 14 TVs showing sports, the food looks awesome and it looks like a nice outdoor option. Maybe one day when it starts getting warmer, I can check it out. You are awesome (and a little bit nuts!) to host such a huge sit down Thanksgiving, all done with amazing aplomb.
Cindy! Always love your OOTW, but today Summer’s mod Thanksgiving
look wins the day! Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. xo
Summer is so cute. Love your outfits as usual!
