I love the color. It is almost as comfy as a pair of pj’s, and it has a very flattering silhouette. Often I am loading and unloading furniture and accessories for clients homes. For install days I don’t want to show up in my sweats so this will be a fabulous alternative.
I can grab a pair of slip on sneaks (they have to be comfy and wide enough to accommodate the dreaded bunion), throw on my favorite turtleneck and inexpensive leggings for a look that is polished yet comfy. This convertible backpack from Madewell will allow my hands to remain free while lugging my trusty tool carrier. I always need an extra tape measure because I am constantly leaving mine at clients homes. This watch is my favorite inexpensive watch. I can’t be trusted with an expensive watch. My last one turned up several years later in my yard buried in gorilla hair. Lastly you can’t have too many pairs of readers especially in green.
Clockwise from top, tape measure, Bee Hoodie from Artful Home, Madewell Convertible Backpack, Timex Weekender Watch, Sarah Blakely Assets for Target Legging, Marianne Slip On Sneakers, Tool Tote, Eye Bob Readers, Peruvian Connection Extreme Turtleneck.Steve and I recently attended the Huey Lewis and the News Concert at Mountain Winery. We love this venue for concerts. You can find out more about them here. This hoodie would have been perfect for the concert.
I just bought these boots by Miz Mooz. They are a great price and they are comfortable. Love this Bee Hoodie. This Colby Throw from Pottery Barn would be great as a lap robe or wrap. I am going to purchase this wool hat by Tess McGuire for Artful Home this year. It comes in several colors. This turtleneck from Peruvian Connection is the best. The fabric and fit are amazing. It too comes in other colors. This wine & cheese basket from Bloomingdales has a great price point and would make a great Christmas or wedding gift as well. Do you have one of these Yeti Cups? If you don’t you must get one. Keeps your drink cold all day even in your hot car.
Clockwise from top, Luna boots, Bee Hoodie, Colby Throw, Wool Hat, Extreme Turtleneck, Wine & Cheese Basket, Yeti Tumbler.
The blog has been a little heavy on fashion lately due to prior commitments. In my next post I will update you on my current projects. My blog and website are going to have a new look and I am switching to wordpress so there may be a few glitches. Please bear with me, I don’t want to lose any of you! I am hoping my next post will be from my new home base cindyhattersleydesign.com. I will keep you informed of any changes.

Your clothing might be designed by the artists but the thing you have publicized on your article is just amazing. It seems like a category of long tunic topic, that’s why more people are coveting to have it.
Cindy!
I love it here!
It’s like you read my heart!
You new look is . . . amazing!

What great autumn clothes. Love the combination of leggings and turtlenecks. The shoes went on my list—-they look great and provide a casual, comfortable slip-on for weekends.
Thanks, Cindy!

What a fun post! I love your style and all your choices are spot on. I'll be checking out this resource for sure. Wish I could go to concerts in wine country regularly like you do. But alas, I'm a Southern California girl.
Celia this hoodie would look lovely with your coloring! Thanks for the sweet comment!
I enjoy all your posts Cindy, style or design, we share the same style…so it's all good on my end. There are a lot of great items here, I am going to have a little 'peruse' and check them out. Thank you for sharing…looking forward to your new blog 'look'. Good Luck!! xxx
Thanks Jeanne. I think you would love this comfy hoodie!1
I love the hoodie and the color…can I try yours on to see about the length? Adorable boots, too!!
Of course!!
You posted a favorite color for me this fall – OLIVE!! I love this!!
If you like casual tunics you will love this Karolyn and it would look lovely with your hair!!
I love the way you put everything together. Great and casual looks. I'm partial to ArtfulHome also. Granted I'm a Brand Ambassador, but I've been buying from Artfulhome for a long time. Love everything I purchased. I just lost my tape measure. Bought three of them to put in different parts of the house. I can't wait to see the new design of your website. Thinking of doing that also. I also like the idea that you're changing the name to your name. Great idea.
Hi Sandy! Thanks for the kind words…loved your post today!!
I am so glad you are an Ambassador for Artful Home. I think the day in the life of a designer/winery concert is a happy mish-mash of brands I love. Being a fabric/textile junkie, I love Meiko Mentz (sp?) work. I have two of her vests that I treasure. For this fall's trip I bought a scarf by Michael Kane. It is breathtaking in its art form and execution. I like it so much I ordered his new Kimono. The great customer service at Artful Home is working hard to help me get it before I leave. When you combine unique products with superior customer service, I think that's a winner!
Thanks for the tip about the shoes. I have that dreaded bunion (still like to know which family member "gifted" me with that one) and shoes are often a pain! I often have that problem of needing wider toe box with a narrow heel and my go to's are Merrill slip-ons/clogs. Too funny about the tape measure. In my own ongoing construction project, I've been leaving a tape measure/pair of readers in the area. Can't use one without the other!
I think we were sisters in another life!!
I need to take a look at artful home pieces, my lifestyle has become way more casual and to be honest I am not very good at choosing cute casual clothing, so this will be helpful, thank you. Loved the piece you chose and how you coordinated it with two different looks, I am all about coordinating my wardrobe!!
Kathy Sue you would love this piece it is so flattering!
