BEAUTIFUL LAUREN LIESS PROJECT AND HER NEW BOOK
Lauren’s work is always distinctive and every project is different. I have her new book in my Amazon cart. I have every one of her books and have given them as gifts. I am sure this one coming out in October will not dissappoint either. I love this project she calls “Ancient Modern”. You can view all of her portfolio here
You can buy her latest book Feels Like Home on Amazon here.

AFAR BEST CITIES TO VISIT THIS FALL
I don’t think there is a lot of international travel on the plate until Covid is more under control. Is Anyone planning a fall trip to see the foliage? You will enjoy this post from Afar.
FOOD 52 CHOW MEIN NOODLE COOKIE
I know I am not much of a baker. It isn’t that I can’t. Growing up my mother was not a good cook (that is putting it mildly) but she was a decent baker. I actually baked cookies all the time growing up and early on in my marriage. Why did I quit? Several reasons actually. #1 my husband likes chocolate chip cookies only. I really got tired of making the same cookie all the time. If I by chance I made a cookie that I liked I might devour the entire recipe. At any rate, did you eat the school cafeteria food as a student? It was terrible. However, they made one thing that was actually tasty, a no butterscotch, chow mein noodle concoction. Apparently the editors of Food 52 grew up on them as well. She dreamed up this recipe that sounds well dreamy! You can find the recipe on Food 52 here. I might actually make these.
OUTFIT OF THE WEEK WORK FROM HOME
Aren’t many people still working from home at least part time? If you want a comfy look that is a bit more polished that you can actually be seen in on a zoom call, this is your go to. The wrap and leggings are from Barefoot Dreams Cozy Chic Light, the reading glasses are peepers. The shoes are from Allbirds, the handbag is from Rothy’s (it can be carried three ways, and it will hold your laptop. Oh and the t-neck is from Gap (tip I order in Tall so the torso is longer) The nail polish is OPI. All items are linked below the graphic

SWEATER PANT UPDATE
The sweater pants featured in my Knitwear post from J Crew have been one of the most popular items featured here on the blog. I can see why this trend is a hit. They are comfy and have a great look.If you wanted to purchase the J Crew sweater pants but were put off by the price, they are now on sale for $59. Many of my taller readers asked if I knew of another source for a full-length version. If you want to try the trend but don’t want to spend much you can try the Target version here. They only have brown left. Nordstrom has some by Vince Camuto that look to be of good quality here.

ANTIQUE MODERN!!! Oh my I have a name for my style! This is outrageous, I love it!
My school cafeteria, parochial and high school, made these divine dinner rolls. We could smell the yeasty dough all morning, every single morning and it never got old.
Hi Nancy
Your school cafeteria food sure sounds better than mine!
I purchased the Black and Crean cardigan you wrote about in your Ralph Lauren piece. I just love it. I also purchased the pale grey outfit from J. Crew. I have not worn it yet, but I think it is a winner. Finally I bought the camel turtleneck from Banana Republic, which I plan to wear with a wonderful black leather blazer from my closet. I think I bought it in the late 1990’s! I needed some new things and these are perfect for my life daily and for better events. I have been working on a weekly everyday at home wardrobe–trying to wear more of my piece from the last year. I am pleased so far, with how all this looks. I want to look pulled together and your blog is helping me do this in an effortless way.
Hi Beth
I just love those knits. They have definitely been one of my most popular items on the blog ever for a reason! They are comfy and stylish!
On your recommendation, I purchased the J Crew sweater pants in black. I liked them so much after they came, that I ordered a camel pair, too. So comfortable and effortlessly a step up from my usual casual wear. Thanks for bringing my attention to these!🌞
Hi Raye Lynn
I love those knits too and they are on sale!!
Cindy! I love your outfit of the week! I always do! Lauren Liess is always so inspiring in how she incorporates nature. Those cookies…interesting!! Have to try those!
