I am partnering with a company I have long admired for their great leggings, but guess what they are much more. Lysee has some Great Travel-Friendly pieces You Will Love. Guess what? If you use the code CINDY20 when you order you get 20% off your order. Many advertisers contact me, but I only work with those who carry items that I would wear myself. I think you will love this company if you travel.
Below,I have put together a capsule wardrobe that you could wear on a five-seven day fall vacation. I paired the items I chose from Lysee with some other favorites.
The Schiffer top (which comes in a lot of colors in four-way stretch microfiber) would be a great option for the airplane paired with the Emma trouser in four-way stretch Ponte. Both are no-iron and could be worn multiple times. The pants are long on me by the way. I need to get them hemmed. I would size up if you are in-between sizes. I am wearing a small and could have easily taken a medium in the shirt.
On another day, you could wear the Schiffer top with jeans for a more casual look. The sneakers are by Gelato and were purchased at Sole Tree Paso Robles. You can find them online but if you like supporting local (I do) contact them on IG. They are super comfortable.
Let’s talk about the versatile Emma pant. Here I am wearing them (rolled up with sneaks for a more casual look) with a white shirt from Athleta and an older rag and bone cross-body linked at the bottom of the post.
I am wearing the Emma trouser (rolled up) with the Banana Republic vest (that I shared in this post How to Refresh your Closet by buying Very Littleand Great Transitional Jackets you can Wear into Fall here), with the Schiffer top underneath.
On another day you could repeat the vest and white shirt with jeans like I did here (sans the hat) only with sneakers or the velvet birdies.
The item I was most excited to get was the Marilyn Parka . I am wearing a small, and I paired it with their vegan leather legging. These leggings have their signature slimming waistband and are fully lined. These are the best faux leather leggings I have tried. The vegan leather leggings also come in plus sizes here. I am wearing a small. I have linked all other items at the bottom of the post.
For a more casual look, you could pair the jacket with a turtleneck, jeans and scarf. I am wearing my favorite comfy emma botties from Gentle Souls which are linked below as well. The jeans are from J Jill and are the cropped version of the boyfriend (no longer available) The regular boyfriend is linked below.
Somehow when photographing, I meant to pair the leggings with the J Crew pashmina and the Athleta shirt. Instead, I am wearing the Emma trouser again. The leggings would give you a more polished evening look. The necklace is from Parham and Co Studio and is one of a kind. The shoes are the Birdies Starling and are linked below.
Obviously, there are many more combinations you could come up with. You could grab a couple more scarves in different colors to change up the simple looks. These are just a few.

There are so many travel-friendly options on the Lysee website. You could order a couple of the Schiffer Button Downs in other colors to extend the travel capsule. Almost all of their items come in extended sizing as well. Lysee has some great deals on its sale page as well here. Also if you have been on the fence about the Gentle Souls Emma Bootie, and you are a first-time buyer from Kenneth Cole you can get 25% off! I hope you enjoyed Great Travel-Friendly Pieces You Will Love. If you order from Lysee don’t forget to use the code CINDY20 to get 20% off.
You are just beautiful Cindy and I love everything you share with us! I am going to Italy in October and you have provided such gorgeous inspiration as I am putting my wardrobe together!
~ Good Morning Cindy, You are brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing. My husband and I live in the mountains and are so ready for fall (my birthday is early October and my favorite season). I appreciate you sharing how to get longevity in the clothes we already have (instead of buying new). Last year, I discovered the importance of buying VINTAGE; and added a couple of items to my cowgirl closet (a vintage Ralph Lauren Denim Supply leather toggle vest and Knights Taylor Ltd. full-length suede/sheepskin coat for those cold mountain winters). Usually, I’ll see what’s “new” for fall and style my clothes accordingly. There’s no need to buy; instead REPURPOSE, REUSE AND RECYCLE) ~.
Cindy, this is a wonderful post and you look fabulous in every one of the combinations you shared. I will definitely keep Lysee in mind for future travels.
I always love your style. Suede leggings? I must check them out. I bought the Athleta white shirt you featured so now onto Lysee. I’m afraid of that CP shades skirt. I think I’ll look like a house.
I love how you created outfits for us and thanks for the introduction to this beautiful brand.
I fell head over heels for the Marilyn Parka–perfect for fall and spring here in the Midwest. It’s sold out but I’m on the waiting list. It’s gorgeous!! Does it feel true to size? I know we are both not so tall so I like where it falls just below your hip. I hope I can get it before it gets too chilly!! 🍁
Jane
I hope you have some plans for travel where you can incorporate your outfits. I’m going to take a look at Lysse. I think you have shown some leggings with a scalloped hem by that brand (?) and the vegan suede leggings mentioned by someone sound like something I would wear.
Cheers to our cooler weather with fall right behind!
Hi Wren
Ha! Not until next Spring at the earliest. Steve has to close down his business and get out of his warehouse…a monumental task!
Hi Cindy,
I bought the Schiffer top such beautiful colors! This is my first time with this brand and thanks so much for the discount. Beautiful clothes love everything you are wearing !! All the best!
Hi Francesca
It was an easy YES! for me when they approached me. I have loved their leggings forever and love all their fall line. I thought you ladies would love them too!
Love the rolled up jeans! Where are they from?
You’re right – I love them. I buy a lot of travel stuff from Athleta, but I am 50/50 with satisfaction. Thanks for all the ideas. I also saw a lady in the airport in France, with a lily-type skirt (CP Shades) and thought that was a good look and comfy too! Now when are we going somewhere? 😬 ✈️
Hi Gray
You know how I love the @cpshades lily skirts. I live in mine. I had no idea the variety of offerings from Lysee, but I am a new fan. I love their leggings but they have so many great travel pieces as well.
I had no idea they made such great pieces for travel! I’ve been a fan of their leggings for as long as I can remember. Their faux suede is especially nice. Thanks for this peek into what else they have.
I have a pair of Lysee vegan suede leggings that are at least 5 years old. They are the most comfortable pants I own. I grab them more than any other brand.
I do too!! In several colors, They are fabulous.
yes!
Hi Marcia
their leggings are amazing, aren’t they?
Yes, and Cindy, thanks to your post where you wore the scalloped white leggings, they have been a nice option to wearing white jeans. I get lots of compliments on the scalloped leggings. Thank you!
