The Bespoke Interiors of John Jacob

I was first introduced to the interiors of John Jacob by Barbara Jordan Deitweiler who pens the wonderful blog Haus Design here http://bjdhausdesign.blogspot.com/2011/09/john-jacob-interiors-intriguing-south.html.  Barbara’s blog is filled with inspiration.  She sources the most wonderful images for her blog.  With the advent of pinterest I continued to run across many more images of John Jacob Zwiegelaar’s designs. His designs are innovative yet timeless.  In his own words  his particular forte is a contemporary classic look defined by a series of monotones ranging from dark chocolate, to black and grey, each matched with white.  His use of mirrors, African art and textiles also hold center stage.          This image is a study in symmetry and proportion       Notice the un expected “objects d’ art” behind the sofa.  They really carry the room.  I am crazy about this room. image  Beautiful finishes and textures here   Love his use of African Textiles and Objects in this room!   This vignette is pure genius…a study in contrasts         If you would like to see more of his work go to http://www.johnjacobinteriors.com/interiors.php.  I could have posted every image from his site.  I hope he will publish a book one day.  I can’t get enough of his work.

Hi Cindy, lovely to meet you! Thank you for your sweet comment over at my place and your nice visit. I so appreciate it. I don't know if you realize that our monthly international blog, which is the 1st Tuesday of the month, is a membership-only deal. Not to worry. I'm just explaining. One must be invited by an original member of the group. It's a huge committment on everyone's part. I love your blog, I'm sure I will see you often. Marsha

Aren't you sweet to link back to me for discovering his wonderful work! His work is so multi-layered – every room has so much going on (in a good way). I can't get enough of his beautiful designs and I agree – a book by him would be really incredible!
