Fifteen Last Minute Father’s Day Gifts

Hi Everyone.  I am really behind the eight-ball on this one.  I had a design post prepared for today, but several of my long-time readers emailed me and reminded me I never did my father’s day picks.  So, if you are organized and already have that under control you can ignore this post.  If you are more like me, you will appreciate my 15 last-minute Father’s Day gifts.

Let’s talk Apparel.  Steve got snubbed on his birthday (at least by me), because we were right in the thick of moving.  Our kids bought him a few new clothes.  When your kids say their dad needs new clothes you know it is serious.  I hadn’t shopped Tommy Bahama in years.  I took another look this week.  I love the fresh colors for men.  Older men could use a little color to flatter as well.  I think Tommy Bahama is having a moment! I love their solid color camp shirts, the half zips, and their polos.

Shoes are a huge issue in our household.  Steve had a bad motorcycle accident (and reinjured years later), so he can only wear super comfortable shoes, which in his case means olukai and New Balance.  Olukai’s most comfortable flip flop (according to Steve) is the Ulele.  He would wear these everywhere (and I do mean everywhere, even places where they aren’t really appropriate if you know what I mean).  Last year we added the leather number, the Hiapo and he now agrees they are almost as comfy as the ulele.

He loves the slip-on and has worn them to death.  His new favorite sneak that doesn’t put pressure on his ankle is the New Balance Fresh Foam Rove.

Let’s talk gadgets & finds.  We do a lot of wine tasting and enjoy wine at home as well.  Steve’s must-haves, the yeti wine tumblers, the yeti portable cooler (if you are tired of lugging the heavy one around I am!!), Vin Glace wine bottle cooler, and the simple corkscrew (we keep one in the car). For barbecuing, this bamboo board catches the drips so they don’t go all over your floor and counter! Oh, and if your hubby loves music the Sonos portable speaker is a must have.  I am pretty sure this was Steve’s all-time favorite gift from me last Christmas.  It is pricey, but worth the dollars.

Rounding out the list are his new favorite hat (breathable and comfortable) and wayfarers, his go-to sunglasses.  All items are linked below.

I am sorry I am so late to the party.  Maybe you will find this list helpful for a birthday if not Father’s Day. Most of these are easily obtained in time for those of us that are last-minute shoppers! If you missed our Sunday Five Favorites you can find them here. Thanks for reading 15 last minute Father’s Day Gifts. Have a great day.

These are great ideas for Father’s Day. You certainly would have gotten a pass this year since you were inundated with moving and packing.
Enjoy the upcoming holiday in honor of dad.
    xo,
