What do a Charming Cotswald Cottage, Fathers Day, and Eggplant Braciole have in Common?

House and Garden

This charming home in House and Garden by Ham interiors stopped me in my tracks this week in my email box. You can see more of Ham Interiors beautiful work on their website here.

PHOTO WILL SLATER

Crazy about this banquette area…

This kitchen checks all my boxes and more! I would probably tire of that red stove but I sure love it!

Pine Cones and Acorns-10 Things that are Free to do This Summer

I love this list from my friend Elizabeth, a gentle reminder that Summer can be enjoyed without spending a fortune or nothing at all.

Outfit of the Week

I have had many requests for extended sizing, so here you go!

J Jill Shirtdress Outfit of the Week - Cindy Hattersley

I am not normally a “navy” fan but I ordered this J Jill gauze dress in a small for myself. It also comes in a pretty red and blue. The bag is super price-friendly from Mango with a great look. The sandals are from Fit Flop, I love my Janessa Leone bucket hat. I have dragged it all over the country in the last few years and it has retained its shape the hat from Madewell is a good dupe and highly rated. The earrings are from Etsy.

Fitflop Love

Steve and I have been wearing fitflops for the last couple of years. They are the only flip flops that Steve can wear since he had his ankle fused. Steve likes the Sufer for everyday wear, and Fit flop gifted him the Gen FF Fisherman Slides and he loves them! I have been wearing the Gracie the last couple of years. I ordered the Gen FF Buckle Slides (super comfy and they have that birks look without the uncomfortable sole), and the Lulu Leather Toe Post Slides (the most comfortable sandal I have ever put on my feet) Apparently you all love them too because they immediateley offered a you a 15% discount. Use Code SHARE15 to get 15% off sitewide.

We do not have pretty feet as you can see. I have a bunion and hammer toe and Steve is lucky he is walking! That is why we love Fitlops so much!

Food and Wine’s Eggplant Braciole

We are not vegan but we love eggplant, and this receipe fro Eggplant Braciole from Food and Wine is on my menu this week!

Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Fathers Day Gift Ideas

If your husband likes to walk the golf course, he will love the pushcart I purchased for Steve’s birthday. It fits in the back of his Audi and is simple to maneuver. If you want to elevate your husbands sandal game while maintaining comfort, he will love these fit flop sandals. Steve loves these inexpensive golf shorts from Quince. He is coveting this Yeti cooler and water bottle and he loves his new foot joy golf shoes.

  2. Cindy! I’m smitten with HAM interiors Cotswolds Cottage, especially the kitchen and vintage table for island. I’m forwarding your link for Fitflops to Jim … we have an upcoming warm weather trip and it’s hard to get him out of his sneakers and into sandals. These might do the trick. Thanks for the reminder about Father’s Day, now that my dad’s gone I forget about it … but our dogs always like to show their human dad some appreciation! xo

    1. Hi Juliet

Maybe you need to reproduct that kitchen in your new home!! Jim will love the fitflops. Steve has terrible feet and he can wear them! I am glad the puos are doing well in the apartment! You guys may like it so much you won’t want to move!!

  3. Cindy, Love that cottage! Good gift ideas as always. Yeti cups are amazing.
Love the outfit and the bag. You find the cutest things. xo

  4. Hi Cindy,
That cottage is in Cornwall, not the Cotswolds, and it is lovely!

    1. Hi Cara

Thank you so much I will correct the text but unfortunately it is too late to change the title.

  5. Hello Cindy,
Love the navy dress and all the accessories! I have been watching the Roland Garros tennis all morning which was just incredible this year. I would love a cottage! Happy weekend.

  6. Very interesting blog. The eggplant recipe sounds sooooooo good. But I would need the “for dummies” recipe. I love the JJill dress too. But I don’t get much chance to wear dresses. So I can’t buy. I live here in NE Ohio. I do so enjoy the California style. I really like the kitchen too….but I would have food all over those cupboard drapes. Love the stove.

  7. Dear Cindy – I am a Fit Flop addict! I have many color and styles and they last forever! They are good for everyday and have many “sparkle” versions for dressing up! Heading out for a ten day trip this week so I’ve been going back through your posts to help me figure out what to pack! So appreciate your style, ideas and positive inspiration. Anna in Arizona!

  8. I recently purchased the navy J Jill dress and can’t wait to wear it! It’s very lightweight and roomy, yet doesn’t look like a tent on my apple shape.

  9. Hi Cindy
I love those flipflops but I just wanted to point out how expensive they are in the US compared to Italy where I live. They’re one third of the price here.
Is that the result of those big beautiful tariffs? Be warned folks!

    1. Yes but living in the United States… worth it. Some things are more valuable than that cost of sandals!

  10. What a charming cottage…love the black and white ticking!
All the texture in the outfit make it shine!

  11. Good morning Cindy,

HAM interiors is one of my all time favorite design companies. I love that it is a family business started by the parents and then the kids joined. Their collected interiors and interesting finds at quirky art make every home they design interesting and cozy.
THANK You Cindy for including my post! I always appreciate you sharing.
Love all of your Father’s Day gifts, my husband loves a Yeti and we own many of the cups and coolers.
    Have a beautiful, restful Sunday!
