Hi Everyone, as always I am joining my pals Annie and Mary Ann for our Sunday favorites. This month I want to share some of my favorite spots in the Paso area. Let’s Unlock the Hidden Charms of Paso Robles and More.
HOTEL CHEVAL’S SECRET JEWELRY BOUTIQUE
We are so lucky to have the beautiful award winning Hotel Cheval in downtown Paso Robles. It is one of the most charming boutique hotels I have ever been to. Whenever someone comes to visit, we always take them to Hotel Cheval for a visit. If you would like to book a room at Hotel Cheval you can do so here.
If you are fortunate enough to book a stay at Hotel Cheval, inside this gorgeous lobby a secret awaits … Hotel Cheval now has their own jewelry line.
They are now selling their in-house H Cheval jewelry line designed by local artisan Tova Celine. Cheval is horse in French. Each horse themed piece is individually handmade in the USA by master craftsman in sterling silver or 14K gold.
I am crazy about these beautifully crafted pieces. I will be sharing one of my treasures next week in my fall fashion post. If you aren’t local, or you have visited and would like a memory of your stay you can buy these wonderful H Cheval pieces online here.
The details that go into every piece are incredible.
THE PONY CLUB AT HOTEL CHEVAL
The Pony Club bar is a great hangout for locals and visitors. They have live music along with “behind the vines” events weekly with local wineries.
You can check out the pony club events calendar here.
ARUGULA SALAD WITH GRILLED CORN AND TOMATOES
Many of my salads are thrown together with seasonal ingredients, I normally make some sort of vinaigrette that suits the ingredients and call it good. This Arugula Salad recipe from Seasons and Suppers is very similar to what I currently am serving. Salad is often dinner for the two of us. You could add fresh squash from the garden as well to amp up your veggie intake.
OUTFIT OF THE WEEK
I spotted this dress $149 on Peruvian Connections’s website and knew i wanted to feature it. Peruvian Connection’s pima cotton items are the best. I had an earlier version of this dress from many years ago. I don’t wear much blue but I love the conbination of blue and black. I paired the dress with a faux leather jacket, Kenneth Cole Gentle Soul boots ( I own in two colors-they are unbelievably comfy), a pretty scarf from Kate Spade, and a bag from Portland leather.

SENSE OF PLACE-DESIGN INSPIRED BY WHERE WE LIVE
Designer’s Caitlyn Fleming and her mother Julie Gobel have a new book out September 19th, Sense of Place. If you loved their first book Travel Home, you are going to love this one even more. You can pre-order Sense of Place on Amazon here. Oh and did I mention Jill Sharp Weeks home is one of the homes featured?
That’s it from my desk this week. We had a fun day in Los Olivos yesterday. Thank you for reading Unlock the Hidden Charms of Paso Robles and More. If you follow me on Instagram here you can check out our meanderings. If you would like to catch up on past Sunday favorites you can find them here. Now let’s pop over and visit Mary Ann and Annie. They are both in Europe so I am sure they will have some fun to share.
