Tour Bucolic Patina Meadow: What to Eat and Wear

Let’s join Mary Ann and Annie and pretend we are taking a trip to Tennessee. Shall we Tour Bucolic Patina Meadow: What to Eat and Wear.

Brooke & Steve Giannetti’s Bucolic Tennessee home in Veranda

The talented duo Brooke and Steve Giannetti surprised their many followers when they sold their beloved Ojai property, Patina Farm, and relocated to Tennessee in search of a slower, more intentional lifestyle. They settled in the charming community of Leiper’s Fork, where they’ve begun crafting another bucolic property they now call home. You can read more about their inspiring transition in Veranda [here]. Their new home is also beautifully featured in their latest book, Patina Homes and Gardens, available here

What to Watch

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Friends in Low Places on Prime. This series documents Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood’s journey building the Honky Tonk of their Dreams, Friends in Low Places.

Make Your Own Avocado Toast Bar

I can just picture Leyla Giannetti putting together a fabulous avocado toast bar with fresh, farm-to-table ingredients straight from Patina Meadow for one of her gatherings! And now that the weather is warming up, it’s the perfect time to invite a few friends over for a simple, healthy brunch or breakfast. You could pick up wonderful tea from Spice of Life, sparkling wine from Haliotide, , and fresh produce from the Templeton Farmers Market. I’m a big fan of avocado toast myself, though mine usually involves wheat sourdough from Proof & Gather, or Bread Bike Bakery a ripe avocado, some juicy tomatoes, and whatever greens I can find in the fridge. But StyleBlueprint has truly taken avocado toast to the next level—prepare to be inspired!

Outfit of the Week

T shirt dress outfit of the week

I love a great t-shirt dress. They are comfy and cool for summer. This week I am sharing one of my favorites from Eileen Fisher with an Isabel Marant bag (I am coveting) I love the combination of the two leathers and the wide leather crossbody strap. I paired them with comfy fitflop sandals that are on my list, my favorite Tommy Bahama linen jacket, and a great hat from James Perse.

All of the items above are from H&M or Uniglo. I am going to order the t shirt dress in olive for myself. Love the great accessories from H&M, the earrings are from J Crew Factory, and the jean jacket from Old Navy.

Summer Love

We are in Walnut Creek babysitting Summer while her parents are gone, and having a blast. She will be turning 7 next month, and she is so much fun. We have enjoyed every minute with her!

Of course we had to do a little shopping., and she was more than happy to pose in her new outfits. Zara has the cutest clothes for little girls. She wears a size 12. I don’t know what we are going to do when she outgrows little girls sizing!

Shop Summer’s Looks

Tomorrow we will watch Summer play flag football, have brunch with Steve’s brother, and drop Summer off at a birthday party and head home. I hope you are having a great weekend. As always thank you for reading, Tour Bucolic Patina Meadow: What to Eat and Wear. Now let’s pop over and visit Mary Ann and Annie for their Sunday favorites.

    1. Hi Beth

I do have a Uniglo t shirt dress from last year (long sleeve). I am going to order the olive green and see. It is 70% cotton and 30% polyester so it should be cool. The reviews were good. I am going to order an XS.

  5. Great post! Enjoyed the Giannetti pics…interesting mix of rustic and classic. And of course, Miss Summer is such a cutie pie. I hope you will post more details about how you will be wearing your olive colored”chic but cheap”dress and what size works for you.

  7. So wonderful you are having such a lovely time with Summer she looks so incredibly happy. I remember that feeling of new clothes as a kid!! Lovely outfits too.
I will check out your watching ideas thanks Cindy, My hubby and l have been eating no no bread and very cleanly for some time now and it is really making a difference, so l will think of the avocado and do another way, but yum!!! Delish!

    1. Hi Francesca

We try not to eat too many carbs (very few). We have discovered whole wheat sourdough is completely different. Bread usually just makes me hungrier! “Whole wheat sourdough bread is considered a healthy choice due to its combination of whole grains and the sourdough fermentation process. Whole wheat provides fiber, vitamins, and minerals, while sourdough fermentation reduces phytates, making nutrients more accessible, and also contributes to a lower glycemic index”. You might give it a try!

  8. I absolutely love the enchanting Patina Farm. It is cozy and inviting.
Summer is an adorable model. Just like her grandmother.
I love how you post the price of the clothes you feature.

    1. Hi Claudia

Brooke and Steve are such a talented team aren’t they? I like to post the prices so you know before you click! There is nothing worse than being tempted to find out an item is out of your price range!!

  9. I loved Patina Farm but I find their new old build too rustic (for my taste). But, then we all have different styles and that makes it more interesting.
Your avocado toast board looks delish. 😋
Tee shirt dresses are perfect for summer. It’s easy one and done!
    Summer is adorable!

  10. Gorgeous post. Enjoyed it after preparing my own avocado toast. Have been on a kick as a local baker from my local farmer’s market makes a delicious sourdough bread. What a clever idea to incorporate it into a brunch offering. Have enjoyed Patina Meadow’s aesthetic style after reading about them on your blog. As for Summer, she will outgrow children’s sizing as they sadly all do. The good news is that you are providing her a basis for style and can assist her in developing a look that is all her own. Happy Sunday!

    1. Hi Kim

I just wish Summer wouldn’t grow out of childrens clothes so early! She isn’t even 7 yet! The pitfalls of being tall!

      1. Certainly no rush and no desire to wish that time away 🙂 As a fellow tall person, would suggest ballet or sports for her so she is comfortable in her own skin. In my case, it really helped. That and being taught to walk in heels: there’s too much stomping about like troglodytes in stilettos.

  11. Summer is adorable in her new Zara finds … she’s growing up so fast! Jim considers himself an avocado toast aficionado and would love me to copy this bar idea. xo

    1. Hi Juliet

Please share some of Jim’s avocado toast recipes!! I am addicted!!

  12. Summer cannot be 7, she was just a baby! My grandson is turning 18, drives, works part-time, and tours college campuses around the country solo. How does this happen? I swear it was just yesterday I went to Little League games with him.

  13. That avocado toast…drooling here. That Summer is such a delight. How fun that you took her to Zara!
