Happy Sunday everyone. We are deep into unpacking mode here (and I do mean deep). I am popping in with a quick post for my Sunday Favorites with Annie and Mary Ann. Today it is all about blue and white, mushroom soup, and more. Who doesn't love blue and white, right? AMANDA LINDROTH DESIGN Our weather has been terrible here. Foggy, drizzly, and chilly. I came across some images of Bahama's based designer Amanda Lindroth. You can see her entire portfolio here. You can shop her ...

SUNDAY Five-Mark Sikes Soup Fashion and Fun
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! I am so excited to say that I got my first vaccine yesterday and Steve is getting his today. I cannot tell you how excited I am. I do not have any symptoms. I know some feel a little flueish (I think mainly with the second dose) or have a sore arm. I have neither so today is a great day. Have you had your shot (if you are old like me?). You know the drill if you have been here before, Sunday's Mary Ann, Annie, and I share fun finds that caught our eye this week. ...
Sunday Fab Five-Madewell, Grief and More
It is Sunday and it is time for Mary Ann, Annie, and I to share our five favorite things that caught our eye this week. I am sorry I have been mia on Instagram and Social Media this week. It has been a bit of a rough one. I haven't gone into much detail because quite honestly it was just too painful. But life goes on so let's take a look at Sunday Fab Five-Madewell-Grief and More. My Sister Cathy- My sister passed away on Thursday at the age of 70. She was five years my senior. In ...
Tuesday Miscellany
Hello Friends. Well, the times certainly have changed in the last few weeks haven't they? This photo was an outtake from a recent fashion post. Needless to say, I a not dressing like this of late. On Thursday I will be joining Mary Ann, Annie, and our pal Carla and we will be sharing our at-home workspaces. I will also share what I am "wearing to work" these days. In the meantime join me for a little Tuesday Miscellany. Do you read Collage of ...
Simple Sunday Supper-Soup and Salad
My husband and I have really become soup lovers. Most of the soups I make are vegetable-based and super healthy. I am still trying to follow the weight watchers program when I can. I substitute nonfat Greek yogurt when cream is called for and we can't tell the difference. A couple days ago I doubled this recipe and took it to two neighbors. One just returned from the hospital and the other is in her late seventies. Since so many of us are Sheltering in Place Mary Ann, Annie and I wanted to ...
Stay at Home, Slow Down and Enjoy Life’s Simpler Things
First I want to thank you so much for being here and sharing your experiences and knowledge. This is a very difficult time for all of us. As many of you know I am 65 (how did that happen). Here in California, anyone over the age of 65 is required to stay at home. Perhaps it is a good time for all of us to slow down and enjoy life's simpler things. I have my garden to work in and I have this blog. We will get through this as long as we all keep the greater good in mind. That being said I want ...
Friday Fun Stuff
Happy Valentines Day! We went to dinner with friends last night and today we are headed up to babysit for little Summer. Let's get down to business for some Friday Fun Stuff. Heather Bullard, a stylist I respect very much has a great tutorial on How to Style a Display Cabinet that I think you will find very inspiring and helpful. This time of year we are all in organization mode. I cleaned out about half of my closet but now need to tackle the drawers. Imogen from Inside Out Style ...
Friday Fun Stuff and a Thought Provoking Post
It has finally stopped raining here on the Central Coast and we are enjoying some sunshine! What is the weather like in your neck of the woods? Have you tried this soup? It is a new favorite of ours. If I made it again I would leave out the chicken. It doesn’t need it. If you are a mushroom fanatic like me substitute truffle oil (I know it is pricey) for the tablespoon of olive oil and add a little truffle salt in place of regular salt. It really intensifies the mushroom flavor. You can find ...
