Sunday Fab Five-Yummy Pasta, A Great Book and more

Hi everyone, Happy Sunday.  It’s time for Mary Ann, Annie, and I to share five things that caught our eye this week. Welcome to my Sunday Fab Five-Yummy Pasta, A Great Book and more.

TOMATO PESTO AND GRILLED CORN GNOCCHI

I came across this recipe for Tomato Pesto and Grilled Corn Gnocchi from half baked harvest . It is a more interesting variation of a pasta I make when tomatoes and corn are at their best.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA STYLE FEATURE

I was honored to be featured on my friend Kim’s blog Northern California Style this week.  She is doing a series called Californians at Home.  I think you will enjoy the series. You might also enjoy her first feature here.

DANIELLE ROLLINS NEW BOOK

If you love to entertain (when we can again), you will enjoy the latest book by hostess extraordinaire Danielle Rollins.  In her second book, she shows readers how to create “gorgeous style at home in rooms tailor-made for gatherings, get-togethers, cocktail hours, dinner parties, and intimate suppers”.  I have it on my wish list.  You can purchase it on Amazon here

KATIE RIDDER DESIGNED NANTUCKET HOME

Every time I come across a photo of this beautiful Nantucket home designed by Katie Ridder my heart skips a beat. You can see her entire portfolio here.

POWER GLO PEEL HAVE YOU TRIED IT?

Last but not least, I cannot tell you how many times I have read about the M-61 Power Glo Peel.  If you, like me cannot get a facial, you might want to give these a try.  Caution, read the reviews. Those with sensitive skin, give them mixed reviews.  My skin is not sensitive and I still get the occasional breakout. I just began using them and really like them. Macy’s has a good deal right now if you want to give them a try. They have become a cult favorite during the pandemic.

I so enjoy your blog. It is honest and real, and has Such a friendly style.
I would love to read more about your EBay shopping. I am a huge fan of consignment and repurposing shoes and online forums.
Do you look specifically for special items on EBay? Or do you have categories you browse? Do you shop other online places for resale?

Thank you for sharing so many pieces of your world!

Cindy – Just finished reading your feature in Kim’s Californians at Home! Loved the glimpse into your home and I’m dreaming of that gorgeous breadboard on your coffee table. I admire your style in fashion and all things home … and your gardens are absolutely amazing. Thanks for the book recommendation … I never met a decor coffee table book I didn’t need to order immediately. I’ve been reading about the miracle Power Glow peels and am tempted to give them a try … my skin is sometimes sensitive in addition to being unruly. Hope you had a wonderful weekend! xo

      Hi Juliet

I must admit there are very few decor books that I don’t care for either Juliet! Thank you for reading Kim’s article. I appreciate it. I signed up for your blog!

Cindy thank you so much for mentioning the blog. I was so excited to have you be part of the Californians at Home! I’ve had that Daniel Rollin’s book on my radar for a while too. I also love Katie Ridder and how she uses color! Always different than anyone else. I have used the M61 peel pads from Blue Mercury. I have sensitive skin and no issues. Love them ans having that small store to pop in to get cosmetics without going to the mall. Thank you again Cindy for sharing your home on the blog!! It’s gorgeous and the way you live is inspiring to me. Hugs. Kim

      Hi Heidi
I really like the Power Glo Peel. I still get the occasional breakout at 65! My skin just doesn’t feel clean without it!!
