I have very important company this week (more on that later) so not much work is being accomplished. As stated last week the room is painted and the floors are done. The cowhide rug is here (although it is presently being used for something else). The curtains are completed. I will pick them up Friday. The cushions for the chairs are also done. One of the lamps is done as well. I went with the Nate Berkus shade from Target. By the way I was extremely impressed with the quality of the shade fabric. Amazing for the price!!
I have started painting the chairs. I started with a khaki base color and will either put a dark wash over it or a white wash. What do you think? I am thinking dark. I experimented with black and it just looked too stark in this room.
I am really happy with the results so far. If I can keep this guy off the bed maybe there will be one surface in the house that is not covered with white dog hair!
I am still unsure about using the shutters. Once the curtains are hung they will tell the story I think. Cindy, I am in love with the chair and the paint color is perfect. I wouldn't change it! Where is this chair from? Maybe I need to read the pervious posts! Looks like it's going to be a gorgeous room.

I love the chair as is, too! What a perfect shade, I saw so many fun pillows at Target recently. My sweet little Golden is adorable but the hair…ugh..I have a lint roller in every room, my car, my purse!
I was just at le Tarjay yesterday and did not notice this gorgeous lamp. And I was in the Nate section. Everything is looking great, Cindy. If it makes you feel better, I have a black dog and there is no eliminating the dog hair from my life.
I love the lamp. I cannot believe the shade came from Target. Also, I think the shutter really adds. I would go with the dark wash on the chair.
The chair looks great and I love that vignette – beautiful lamp and shade and I am into the vessel full of finger sea sponges. Very cool!

The chair looks fabulous – and the shade is beautiful. Looking forward to seeing how all these wonderful accessories come together.
I love the chair the way it is, but if you are going to do something to it, I would go lighter. That is a beautiful shade, glad to read the quality is also good.
I really like the gray wash on the chairs. Wonder if they can be sanded to let the khaki undertones through here and there… what wouold that look like? And, are those sticks of coral in the rustic urn? Very cool, whatever they are!
Your lamp came out great! Cant wait to see the curtains…
I love the way the wicker chair looks. What kind of paint did you use? How did you apply it? I can't wait to see more.
Love what I see so far! Are you using the cow hide rug draped over a dining table? Because if you are, I like that look…
Enjoy your VIP guests!

What a gorgeous vignette! Love the shade! I understand the dog hair issue – we have golden retriever fur everywhere…
