I am so happy loafers are back. Here are my picks for those that are not only on point but practical if you like to do any walking!

Black leggings are part of my uniform. I wear them all the time. At my age a legging has to have some substance to sort of “tuck everything in”. These are my favorites if you like a little support. Note the Target Sarah Blakely version is $24.99. I just picked them up and they are fabulous!!

  1. I love loafers and just bought a pair from Madewell. As far as leggings I really can't figure out how to wear them. If I put them with a long white shirt I feel like a nurse:)

    I love leggings and loafers. I'm so happy to hear the loafers are coming back. I love my black loafers and have kept them even though it's been a couple of years since I've worn them. Once we're firmly into fall weather I'll pull them out. I always enjoy your great fashion posts…it's nice to read a post from someone closer in age. 🙂

  11. I'm a huge fan of leggings. And as said, the thicker the better! They are the most comfortable way to bop around running errands for me, so long as the top is long enough, as Contessa says!

  13. I like to wear legging and a long sweater on airplane rides…so not too tight. Thanks for the suggestions. Loafers are so good for these hills…and I'm going to NYC. I need to go shopping! At least online 🙂 Love your fashion posts.

  14. I had to wear my SPANX LEGGINGS to exercise yesterday as I couldn't FIND one pair of the REAL DEAL!My closet is a disaster…………have to say they DO the TRICK!They were working hard in the INDIAN POSiTION!So, I wore an extra long TOP to cover the SIGHTS!!!!!!!!!

    2. Ha! I am going to steal that one "cover the sights"!! Go to Target & buy several pairs of their "sarah blakely" version they are so similar and soooo much cheaper!!

  16. I love these picks! Makes me feel like fall is here! I haven't tried them but there's a brand on QVC called women with control and they have some leggings I've thought about trying…also some in the soft surroundings catalog…do you know that catalog?

    1. I do know Soft Surroundings…very nice things…I am going to go check out those QVC ones anything with the word "control" can't be bad!!

    1. Nancy I feel like t-shirts need to be the same as well…the thicker the better!! Those flimsy numbers are better for the younger ladies!!
