FRESH COASTAL INTERIORS MARTHA STEWART AND MORE

Happy Sunday everyone. As always I am joining my pals Mary Ann and Annie for our Sunday favorites. Today I have a fun one. Let;s talk about Fresh Coastal Interiors, Martha Stewart and More.

KARA MILLER INTERIORS ON INSTAGRAM

I can’t think when I have spotted a prettier account on Instagram. I love Kara Millers fresh take on coastal style. Kara says she loves “creating a soulful backdrop where life’s precious moments happen”. I love that don’t you? You can find Kara Miller on Instagram here, and you can see her entire portfolio here. I am hoping for a book, how about you? Images photographed by the talented Carmel Fassano Brantley. You can find her at Brantley Photo on Instagram here

WHAT TO WATCH

Love is Love is Love on Amazon Three stories that explore “love comitment and loyalty”. Great acting and storytelling. I think you will enjoy it.

OUTFIT OF THE WEEK

This week I am featuring a great pair of pants from Zara (on sale) and a pretty eyelet shirt from J Crew also on sale, great fit flop sandals, a bembien bag, and machete earrings.

SHOP OUTFIT OF THE WEEK

COOKIE AND KATE QUINOA SALAD

I made this salad to serve in Pita Bread to take to Concerts in the Park last Thursday. We all decided it was too cold so we stayed home. We enjoyed the salad as it was meant to be via Cookie and Kate. I think you could make this salad with almost any combination of vegetables. I added a container of feta to mine to make it more substantial. I think you could easily add chicken or shrimp to make it a meal. This one is a keeper and will be on repeat at our house this summer.

GREAT WEEKEND SALES

Isn’t it ironic that just as we are really wanting to wear summer styles everything goes on sale and will sell out quickly. Ahhh the fashion industry! If you are just beginning to wear summer clothes (I am it has been unusually chilly here) you should grab them now while they are still available. After July 4th it is all about fall…crazy I know.

Zara is having a site wide sale and nearly everything on my wish list is on sale here.

J Jill 30% off all pants (including my favorite linen) and shorts including new denim that I have on order!

J CREW (Extra 60% off sale including the shirt in my outfit of the week

That’s it from my desk this week. What are you up to this weekend? Thank you for reading Fresh Coastal Interiors, Martha Stewart and More. You can find all of my previous Sunday favorites right here.

    Happy Summer Cindy!
It is roasting here! I cannot wait to check out the sales, although I do not really need anything.
Love the eyelet shirt, the pants are so cute but patterns do not look good on me. I am a pear shape and prefer to keep it neutral on the bottom, unless I am wearing a dress.
Love Cookie & Kate, have made the salad and it is scrumptious!
Have a happy and safe 4th.

I have to let you know that I tried the quinoa salad today. We had it for dinner with grilled salmon and it was delicious. Even my husband liked it! And there is plenty leftover to have again. Thanks so much for your blog,
    I always find it interesting.

Love is love is love…going to watch that!!
    Xo

I’ve always loved Martha’s magazine and her perfectionism, teaching, skills but she is off base when it comes to remote work, IMO. But I Ike her other progressive ideas and she does have a quirky sarcastic sense of humor.
I met her back in 1998 when she visited my company (she’s a fan of Silicon Valley tech) and she had quite the entourage. She came in wearing a cashmere jogging suit. She checked in on the computer which spits out a name tag sticker and apparently just kept hitting enter so about 10 tags spit out. She removed the backs of the stickers and put on ALL 10 stickers on her chest like a kid would do and proceeded upstairs to meet with the (very famous) CEO. Now that’s confidence 😹

      Hi Valletta

She has always been a force to be reckoned with hasn’t she?

Your posts are the best and I look forward to it every Sunday. The salad looks wonderful can’t wait to try it! Looking for ideas for our little beach house so your high light of Kara Miller is appreciated. ..and Martha! Isn’t she a piece of work? Her advice on aging is good, we should erase the word age or aging and just get on with life but man the air brushed photos clearly nipped and tucked skin along with her outdated ideas re: work from home leave me cold. Hmm France has free and excellent health care, paid vacations and maternity leave. What country is not doing too well Ms. Stewart? Get your priorities straight. Anyway an enlightening article thanks for pointing out.

      Hi Ally

Ah yes Martha is a total piece of work. We all have to admire what she has accomplished, but she is a total character!

  6. Karen B. says

    Cindy,
Thanks for the tips. I’ll watch the movie recommendation for sure. I set for summer clothing except for a couple pair of white pants. I’ll be watching the sales.

You Sunday posts are always the best. Kara Miller is a great find and I can’t wait to try the quinoa salad. I’m with Martha — and I’m done with aging! When we left Chicago and moved to Ohio to be closer to the grandkids, we ended up in a 55+ community. I had always dismissed the idea, but it turns out I have more active, dynamic friends here than I did in Chicago (although I do really miss the Art Institute). Have a great week, Cindy.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

      Hi Janet

The Art Institute is wonderful isn’t it? I used to visit it regularly when my sister lived there for years. So glad you love where you are now. Change is good, isn’t it?

    Love your blog.
I have never been a fan of Martha Stewart as a person but think she has accomplished a lot.

  9. Mary Ann Pickett says

That is such a cute outfit of the week. You are so right about things selling out quickly when they go on sale. We all want a deal. I bought a similar Bembian bag when it was on sale and I using it now in LA.
I’m studying the Kara Miller photos..so pretty.
