I had promised in my last post to post sources for the kitchen but it has been selected for a photo shoot. I will let you know more about that later! So for now I will post before and after of the baths. We did these baths as reasonably as we possibly could while maintaining some interesting details.
Here is the before of one of the baths.The only entry to this bath was from the hallway. It was not connected to either bedroom.The “boys” kept the basic same arrangement of the bath below but they created an opening to the left of the present vanity into one of the bedrooms. They kept the door to the hallway so the bath can be accessed from the hall or the bedroom . Those guys are always thinking!
The vanity was replaced with a pedestal sink in order to conserve space to gain the extra inches needed to create a doorway. I am sorry I should have staged this a little better but I ran out of time!

We were actually able to keep the beautiful tub by having it resurfaced. The tile is inexpensive subway tile from Home Depot. The liner is stainless steel and can also be found at Home Depot and elsewhere.
The result is a cleaner more contemporary space that blends with the rest of the house.
The other bathroom had one of those really “funky” showers in it. Again the basic arrangement remains the same.
I know you want that shower don’t you?!! Too bad another lucky person already bought it on Craig’s List!
This photo was taken before the shower door was installed. Again we used inexpensive subway tile. The liner is multicolored to incorporate the color of the floor tile and the vanity. I had no idea the vanity (console table) was made from multicolored recycled wood until we received it. At first I was put off by it, but it has grown on me and I rather like it.
The light is from Home Depot. The mirror is from one of my wholesale sources but you can find a similar one at Restoration Hardware. The baskets are from World Market. Colin cut a console table from Dovetail down to make the vanity. The sink is from the Stone Outlet. You can find sources for all of the products on my Pinterest Board here http://pinterest.com/chattersley/np/. The ceramic tile in both baths was sourced locally. If you are interested email me and I can track down the name. This tile has a really interesting combination of colors. It sort of looks like verdigrised (not sure is this is a word) copper.

Wow, gorgeous stuff here. First love the white shower with the stainless steel liner! The multi-color one came out darling too. What great choice with the mirror and the table and sink. I also think those large floor tiles were gorgeous!

I left a big long comment on your last post but when I went to post it, the post was gone. I don't know what happened. I looked through the real estate listing and I love everything you did. I really love all the choices you made. Some lucky person is going to get a beautiful new house!

Cindy great job!! It is so good to visit even when things aren't exactly perfect. My condo just went on the market and so I have been decluttering and staging; let me tell you I am exhausted. Oh and having every single thing put away! The carpet always vacuumed. It's like, am I sure I want to do this!?

I'll echo Victoria's thumbs-up on pushing-out the wall to the left of the sink to facilitate the second door to the bedroom. Brilliant! The clean, well-designed angular sink fixtures for the pedestal sink and tub were excellent choices…and the flat shower head/rain-maker (?) is to die for. The stainless liner adds just the right detailing. You have managed to take the #1 bath from awkward to access, dated, and claustrophobic to a much more accessible, open, room with style.
Great job, Cindy. I love your choice of fittings and fixtures. The extra door in bathroom one, since it is inset into the adjoining bedroom, makes such a difference not only in function but in the way the window looks. Good decision.

I love the idea of a stainless steel liner! I've never seen it before. I also the light fixture in the first bathroom. Both bathrooms look great! Have a great time in Chicago!
