Fashion Over 50-Linen by Camelliatune

I am so happy to be working with a new company on Etsy called Camelliatune. I am trying to get used to this modeling thing. All of their clothes are 100% linen and are meticulously tailored to flatter the figure. I wore this fabulous red linen shirt (incredibly priced $39.00) last weekend wine tasting at one of our favorite Paso wineries Epoch.

Note the pocket detail on the front.  If you don’t like red it comes in multiple colors. My sunglasses are from Banana Republic

I had intended to wear my favorite new find. The topshop moto cropped jean from Nordstrom with these but I forgot them.  I love them so much I bought them in three colors. The pants I am wearing are super comfortable.  They came from Anthropologie last year and are no longer available. The bracelets I have had for years. The hat is an ancient Helen Kaminski Provence (still available)  a gift from my friend Sharon.

We are getting ready to head to the Texas heat to check out some of my late father’s properties.  I am planning on wearing this comfy dress on the plane. It looks navy in the pic but it is black with gray ruched inserts. Note the ruched sleeves.  I love this dress. I am pairing it with my uber comfortable kork-ease adrin sandals (I tromped all over High Point in these), and a necklace from Love Heals (an anniversary gift from Steve a couple years ago).  You can find something similar on their website or better yet stop in their store in Ojai if you are nearby.  They will customize anything in the shop.

This golden linen shirtdress has beautiful pin tucking all around the bodice and back of the dress making it super flattering.  All of these items come in multiple colors. I think this would make a great swimsuit coverup in white.  The dress is a bit long for me.  I think I will have it hemmed up a bit.  My necklace is vintage via ebay and my sandals are the catriona by kork-ease (they are on sale!).

Note the pintucking goes all the way around the dress not just on the front.  The attention to detail is on point. Bracelets are old World Market finds.  Actually the bamboo one is a leftover curtain ring from a job.

This grey linen shirt is a favorite.  I love the color and the detailing.  Pleats all the way around. Normally a shirt like this would be pleated in the front and plain on the back.  I am pairing this with the topshop moto crop jean that I spoke of above. I LOVE these,  they also come in black and the black is on sale.  My necklace is a recent  anniversary gift by Paula Carvalho .

This is a boxier style than the red and it is shorter in the front and longer in back for a more flattering fit. I love the color.  I find it hard to find pretty grey pieces. On my feet, my favorite Olukai flip flops.  I have these in both tan and black and I am seriously considering ordering the silver!

Now for the good news.  Tracy from Camelliatune has offered 20% off +DHL express shipping +2-7 days delivery for anything on her site just for our readers.  If you love her style as much as I do hop on over to Camelliatune and type cindyhattersley on your order and she will take care of you!

I am heading to Texas but on Monday I will post Part Two of my garden tour so don’t forget to stop back!

*I was compensated for this post by Camelliatune but the words and opinions are my own.

I ordered on June 14 and have yet to receive confirmation on shipping (today is June 27). On June 23 (9 days after order), Tracy sent notification that one of the styles I wanted was sold out in the color that was ordered. I then selected a color I did not want, thinking it would be easier than canceling and requesting reimbursement.

    Hi Debra!
It is pretty hot here but not as bad as there! Are all of your plants croaking?

you make a great model Cindy!

    off to shop……

hope it is not too hot in Texas, here in Illinois the weekend heat index is 105, gasp!

I love every one of these. The green pintucked dress is divine, and honestly I like the length. I usually don’t like long dresses, but this one looks good. Plus POCKETS!!!
I thought the red top, especially with those yellow pants, looked chic and effortless and cool, but then the gray top got me, too. I love pieces that have sleeves–I want sun protection, but I don’t want to feel hot and stuffy. These look wonderful.
    BTW, your hair is great.

I forgot to mention the pockets!! Yes another detail that is often forgotten! There is a blue v neck top that I am also tempted to order as well. I can’t wear anything without sleeves anymore either for more reasons than one. Thanks for the kind comment about my hair. Some days it looks great and others it has it’s own mind. I never regret letting it go grey, however!

Linen has always been the mainstay in my summer wardrobe, never wavering. Wrinkles have never been a factor and I don’t mind ironing. There are several pieces (dresses and tops) at camelliatune that I am ordering. The detail is so unusual compared to what you find when shopping. Thanks for introducing this vendor.

      Hi Kate

I totally agree I am so impressed with the detail and I LOVE linen…I don’t care if it is wrinkled that is part of it’s charm!

Tracy was so helpful with determining the correct size. I purchased several pieces and am so looking forward to their arrival and blending them into the summer wardrobe. It was difficult limiting the purchase to a few pieces.
Thank you again for featuring this vendor.

Thank you, Cindy, from a newcomer who needs style inspiration. I am still swooning over your garden and cannot wait for the second installment. Back to clothing, you look stunning in all of this. Thanks for letting us know about the Etsy shop. Please know that you are encouraging those of us who need help with our fashion choices – you carry this off in an effortless manner which makes me believe that I can do it, too! Safe travels, Judith
p.s. since you like Kork-ease sandals, try the Palmyra, which is my current favorite.

Thanks Gail-I have not taken care of my skin (too much baking in the sun over the years) I am trying to do a better job now and it is helping. Don’t look too close you will see the pitting and the wrinkles!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

Annie you are so sweet. You know I love your style as well. Hence we are often drawn to the same pieces!

    • Cindy Hattersley says

Hi Sara I am 5-4 and usually wear a 4-6. Tracy told me to order a medium and they fit perfectly. If she hadn’t advised I would have mistakenly ordered a small. You can always email Tracy with your measurements and she will tell you what size to wear. She is super helpful.

    • Cindy Hattersley says

Judy I told my esthetician about your comment and we both had a good laugh today. We have no other choice! I don’t worry about the wrinkled linen and I can’t do anything about the wrinkles on my face!
