Christmas Trees, Tours and Shops you Will Love?

Happy Holidays! Let’s chat about Christmas Trees, Tours and Shops you Will Love. As always, I am joining my pals Mary Ann and Annie for our Sunday faves. Grab a cup of coffee and let’s chat.

MY CHRISTMAS TREE-HEIRLOOM ORNAMENTS

We tossed our Christmas tree that we had for many years when we left our Chualar home. I searched and searched for a “lifelike” tree that was tall enough for our new great room. I finally landed on this (now on sale) tree from Terrain. It was very reasonable and looked extremely lifelike. It is amazing I have to tell you. They are sold out of the larger ones like mine, but you can still get the 7′ version. I posted this picture on Instagram and most people thought it was real. I was tempted to leave it with just the white lights it was so simple and natural.

Do you Love Heirloom Christmas Ornaments, Unique Shops, and a Pretty Holiday Home

But what is Christmas without all of your heirloom Christmas ornaments? I posted this question on Instagram, “Do you have a “decorator tree” or a tree with heirloom ornaments?” The answer was a resounding yes to the heirloom tree. How about you all? I think this tree is by far the prettiest we have had.

SIMPLY MARIE DESIGNS CHRISTMAS TOUR-A PRETTY HOLIDAY HOME

I don’t know if I have had my head under a rock or what? I am pretty sure Amanda was on the Holiday Home Tour with us last year. I love her home and her Christmas decor. You can find her blog here, or follow her on Instagram here. You can check out the entire tour on my blog here. Thanks to Jenny Williamson for organizing it. You can also follow me on Instagram here for more in stories.

OUTFIT OF THE WEEK

Many of you have stated on Instagram that you are most comfortable in jeans and would probably wear them through the holidays but would like to “jazz” them up. This beautiful cashmere poncho (I ordered it) from J Crew is 50% off. I LOVE the Rachel jeans from Kut from the Kloth. How about adding comfy M Gemi driving loafers in silver, and the same accessories from last week’s outfit, a simple rhinestone clutch, and chandelier earrings? Festive but casual.

Your tree is so pretty and looks real! So nice to have spacing between the branches. I just replaced ours, wish I would have known about Terrain trees. Loved the Christmas tour!

      Hi Barb

Thank you so much. We took a chance on that tree and it paid off! Great price and look.

  2. Nancy Brantley says

The tree does look realistic. When I see your fireplace I think of a sunburst mirror made out of wood. But I like iron also.

Cindy your tree is gorgeous! It is exactly my sort of tree- not too full. I would totally buy another if I could . Leave it to you to fund the most realistic and gorgeous faux tree ever! Maybe I’ll get one for the cabin.
This outfit is totally my sort of style and the loaders and poncho are perfect for California holiday gatherings! Looking forward to this week and all the posts. xo

Cindy! I love your tree with and without the ornaments. In fact, I wish I’d known about Terrain trees before purchasing my much pricier tree elsewhere. I’m tempted to leave my tree bare … it’s so pretty. But Jim hauled down my ornament boxes so I’d better get busy. I love Amanda’s home too … it was my favorite on the tour … everything about it is perfection. I love the blue Canoe catalogue and will go back and look at your ageless style post … .somehow I’d missed that connection. I’m sure the shop is amazing … I want everything I see on the catalogue pages. Love this sparkly denim ensemble … I have to side with the rest of your readers. It’s hard to get me out of jeans (or sweatpants) these days. Good to know I can add a little sparkle and be good to go holiday cheering. xo

    Hi Cindy,
Your Christmas tree is beautiful. It looks very real. I love Marie’s blog and have followed her for about 2 years. Her style is fresh and inviting.
Great outfit. I love the silver loafers you shared.

    Hi Cindy,
I love your tree, with the spaced branches . It’s difficult to decorate when it is so full. Does it come prelit, the description isn’t clear. Also, the outfit is my style for comfort with bling. Thanks for sharing!

  7. Katherine says

The tree is simply beautiful, You created an exquisite tree. You can tell by looking if I did not know whose tree this belongs to. I just would know it’s a Cindy tree. The shape and over all look is stunning.

  8. Lisa Downham says

Your tree is gorgeous! I, too, am all about the heirloom Christmas decorations. All the memories are as beautiful as the ornaments themselves. I love your outfit of the week.
I must tell you, that M Gemi shoes are addicting. I am currently needing a 12 step program. Not sure how many pairs of the driving loafer and moccasins I have. So comfy!
    Merry Christmas from Logansport!

I love your simple and elegant Christmas theme. The tree looks so real. Nice touch with the fresh pears and greens on the table, too!

  11. Marie says

We purchased a new tree last year. Wish I would have known about the Terrain tree – just beautiful! Love how the spaced branches really show off the ornaments. The pear and greenery decoration on your dining table also caught my eye. Blends beautifully with your room. Would love to see a full view of how you put it together. Thank you for your posts and all the awesome ideas!

  12. Mary from Life at Bella Terra says

Cindy, I love your new tree! It really does look like a real one. And we have a tree that is filled with ornaments collected over the years. I do love a designer tree to look at but our tree is a fresh one, and decorated by the entire family. Wouldn’t have it any other way. Love all your Sunday suggestions!

  13. Mary Ann Pickett says

I wish I could pop into Blu Canoe too! And Amanda’s home is lovely and homey. Your tree is lovely!!

  14. Annie Diamond says

    Cindy!
Your tree is gorgeous! I do love an heirloom tree too! Last year I leaned into the all-natural, but this year, I think I will get out all the beautiful ornaments that we’ve had for years! It does make it more interesting!

I forgot about that tote bag with Elizabeth and Banksy! Quite fabulous!!

I would love to visit Kelley’s shop on balboa island! She has great style!!

Can’t wait to see all your fashion posts this week!!
    Xx
