The Best Timeless Textural 2025 Summer Accessories
Hello ladies ! Can you believe we are already at midsummer? It feels like just yesterday we were bundling up, and now the days are long, the sun is hot, and our thoughts naturally turn to those lighter, breezier pieces that define warm-weather style. And while trends come and go there’s something truly special about the summer accessories that stand the test of time. Today, I’m thrilled to dive into my absolute favorites: the best timeless textural summer 2025 accessories that will not only elevate your look but also feel just as relevant five, ten, even fifteen summers from now. Big heavy bracelets, necklaces and earrings just don’t cut it with summer’s light fabrics. I prefer a natural palette of bone, straw, raffia, shells and wood, or cool stones for a pop of color this time of year. I wear mostly linen, and cotton gauze, and the natural elements compliment the weight and texture of these fabrics.

I can’t wait for hot summer days to bring out my straw and raffia bags and wicker baskets. I usually add one to my collection every year. Woven tote bags, cross body’s and shoulder bags with a tribal flair can add texture and or a pop of color.

I really enjoy your blog! Just wondering how you pack your linen clothes to eliminate as many wrinkles as possible upon opening your suitcase? Planning a trip in September and could use some help! 🌞
Cindy,
Your post today was “extra great” (all of your posts are wonderful!). Thank you for always being so specific about your resources. A am not only learning a lot from you, but I am “entertained” as well. You are a treasure.

Cindy, can you share the sizing and fit of the Cynthia Ashby mesh tee in the very first picture please? I’d like to order two but they are on sale therefore can’t be returned! 😜 Thank you!
I just wanted to say that the striped top and wide legged white pants struck the perfect proportions for you. My favorite! Bravo! I love the straw hat as well😊
I agree! I love your suggestions. Living down south, with the heat and oppressive humidity, I wear almost no accessories in the summer and wear pants very seldom after early June, until mid September – it’s just too hot for leggings or jeans.
I simply adore your natural palette in colour and texture. It’s simply timeless and understated. Casual but elegant. This has really inspired me. Thank you 🙏🏻
You look great Cindy. I always enjoy these posts. They give me ideas for my summer wardrobe. Thank you.

I love how you accessorize your wardrobe. For years I have worn my daily 35 year old David Yurman cross hoop earrings and bracelet, but in the summer I change to lighter jewelry. I wear turquoise drop earrings made by a local artist here in Kentucky and 3 small gold bracelets with turquoise stones. This summer I purchased freshwater pearl drop earrings and a long freshwater pearl necklace. I love your neutral summer jewelry suggestion and I will look to incorporate some items in to my look. I purchased an antique ivory necklace and bangle bracelet on my first trip to Nantucket when I was a young high school English teacher. I love wearing these pieces and wear them with black tops and blouses.
Hi Cindy! I loved this post. You always have the most stunning accessories and I hope to one day have the kind of collection that you do. I loved our lunch together. Your shirt tunic was beautiful. I need one in my life. You just wear everything with ease and style! I don’t think anyone looks as natural and effortless.

PS. Can you tell what the jeans you are wearing in the last pic? LOVE them!
Lovely post…and I love your navy tiered maxi skirt…can you share where it is from? Thx
Cindy, you look fabulous in everything!!! You have inspired me to get out my bone and ivory vintage accessories and start wearing them! Thanks for including me in this months post.
I really like the skirts you wear. I believe we wear similar sizes. Would you mind sharing what size you wear In the lily skirt by CP shades?
There is another skirt you wear often, especially when you are featuring what to wear in the heat; it is loose and airy. I can’t find it in your past blogs. If you can think of the brand it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
HI THERESA
THEY ARE ALL THE LILY SKIRT. THE ONE I SHOWED TODAY IS THE COTTON/SILK VERSION. THE OTHER ONES THAT I OWN ARE THE LINEN VERSIONS. I HAVE BOTH THE X-SMALL AND THE SMALL. I CAN’T TELL MUCH DIFFERENCE TO BE HONEST!
Hi Cindy,
I love the Lily skirt. It looks so comfortable. At 5’1 and about 107lbs, what hope is there for the smallest size to fit me if you, who seem to be taller are an XS? Sizes have become so crazy! When I was in high school and about 98lbs, I wore a size 2 or 4. I am noticeably larger and now I wear a 0 or 2!
Thanks for all the interesting posts.
You always do such a good job with your accessories. I have gotten rid of a few of my faux tortoise pieces since I don’t think the yellow of them looks as good with my grey. I’m gravitating towards the horn and love the necklace you are wearing. I have one ordered from Etsy but I think the individual rings are going to be too large for my body size. We’ll see but I hope it works.
I also have real ivory pieces from back in the day before it was on the endangered list. Bought a necklace of graduated lima bean shapes at I. Magnin on Union Square when they were going out of business. Miss that store!
I love the way you combine accessories. The natural materials look fantastic on you. This was so fun! I am constantly inspired by you.
We all inspire each other! I learn from you every day. Thank you it is always so much fun to collaborate. It breathes new life into our blogs!
Love, love, love every outfit and all the accessories!! It’s amazing how accessories can elevate our outfits!
That’s great to think of wearing, bone, shell, rattan etc for summer. It would be cooler and just fits the linen , rayon, seersucker look of summer. Some of the new fabrics are great for summer coolness too. I wish you could darken the type. I can barely see what I type. Just old eyes probably,
Hi Cindy,
You always looks so chic, nobody wears accessories as well as you do! I consider you my fashion guru. If only I could pull off these looks as well!
If it’s hoy I find I can barely stand to wear any jewelry, I should try some of the bone pieces and see if that makes a difference!
XO Heidi
Love your style Cindy thank you for the post.I am loving the white bone cross earrings and the horn necklace from Etsy.
Hi there! Do you happen to know where Kim’s shirt is from (in the photo of the two of you together)? Thanks!
I love seeing your CPShades garments – I bought several things from their boutiques when they could be found on the east coast. Sadly, I haven’t lived near one for over a decade since the East Coast boutiques closed. I would order some of the lovely items you wear in a minute if I could have them easily shipped to my current home in France! I’m taking note of the lily skirt and other pieces to order when I’m back in the US!
And the bone jewelry is a great summer idea – I’m sure everyone is bored with the few gold pieces I brought with me and wear constantly! Will start looking for summery bone items in the markets.
just wanted you to know I ordered and just received the straw tote from Etsy. It is very nicely made (in France), and is large enough to carry items to the beach, or just a classy tote for running errands. Thanks for the recommendation! Did yours arrive?
